I got my email to schedule about a week after it was loaded on the ship. I think they assume that the majority of delays are going to happen on the EU side of things and won't schedule anything out until they know the car is on the way. Even then expect almost a month between when the car gets here till when you can pick it up. My car arrives at LA PEC on 12/16 but first available to me was 1/13.

My car finally got to the dealership yesterday. Only then did my dealership call me to set a pickup time. I'm set to pick it up next Wednesday so essentially one week from landing at the dealership to pickup.

Awesome, thanks. Do you know when the final payment is due? Is it due on the date it is delivered or is it due when we pick it up?

That I have no idea. The dealership hasn't contacted me yet for any sort of financing. Based on what I've seen other people have said, I will probably get a call from them 12/09 which is when the car hits stateside. I assume I will need to make all payments then.

My SA also said the same thing... I didn't get in writing (nor clarify verbally) what "circumstances" entailed.. I am suspecting it is supposed to be for things like death in the family, laid off from job... and not "my eyes have drifted to a BMW instead"

In my case, I'm giving them a check when I pick it up but not sure if that's the usual.

I have a GTS that just finished production yesterday and is Emden bound now. I'm hoping once it arrives there in a week or so that the port issues are starting to get worked out.

On a related note, TYD shows the status of being en route to Emden, but My Porsche still shows it's scheduled for production, and no images are available yet via inspecting the web page. How long typically until My Porsche catches up with TYD?

That's super frustrating. Really lucky my car doesn't need to wait for the Bose amp, but my dealer said they got 30 cars in and 20 were waiting for it, or something around those numbers. Nuts!
