I have a GTS that just finished production yesterday and is Emden bound now. I'm hoping once it arrives there in a week or so that the port issues are starting to get worked out.
On a related note, TYD shows the status of being en route to Emden, but My Porsche still shows it's scheduled for production, and no images are available yet via inspecting the web page. How long typically until My Porsche catches up with TYD?
the only thing worse than Emden is TYD. get updates from your SA directly
What is the contact number or email for Porsche to get the TYD setup? I'd feel better seeing the order acknowledged on the factor end--the dealer buyer order is very light.

I know the feeling. You can call the 1-800 number with the purchase details and they may be able to help. i was not lucky, they told me to wait for an email (which went straight to junk mail).

My car reached Check Point 8 (CP8.0) on October 12, and I got the email with pictures on November 15. I found this an agonizing wait, but patience is key. I don't think I've been more excited for anything in recent years than when the notification popped up on my phone. Good luck!
What is the purpose of the platform that the car is on? Perhaps some sort of "shaker" so they can dial in the suspension? Almost looks like a wooden floor and I assume that yellow gantry is some type of car lift and in each photo that I have seen posted here no side badging has yet been applied, the hood and rear hatch appear to be unlatched and the mirrors are folded.
no idea. You are lucky. Lots of cars sit for 3 weeks or more at Emden
I count myself lucky for sure, but production did take 5 weeks while many others took 5 days. Maybe they're trying to help me out on the port end? Haha.
Thank you! It's Mint Green. The factory lighting washes it out quite badly, but it's still great to see the car in an actual form, and not a spreadsheet or order doc.
I'm properly jealous of you all with pictures and cars on boats! I'm still waiting for my TYD initial email ... patience patience I know. The car would be sitting in winter storage here anyways right now so it's actually a good time of year to be waiting.

Thank you for the kind words. I am familiar with this 981 as it was originally sold at a dealer not far from me, and I saw it in person a couple of times years ago. It made its way to USA and into a youtubers hands before popping up for sale with the pics above.
I must admit, I dismissed Gulf Orange in favour of Pastel when narrowing my choices, and do wish I kept it on my shortlist. It's really way more beautiful in person than photos.. much the same with Mint. I've always loved Mint since I was a kid, and I think it suits the 718 platform so well.
