This has been the case since they took the 2.5 GTS offline.
What you're seeing is still the old car info.
If you go into "Technical data" it still lists the engine as 2.5L

Yup I got fooled by that the other day as well. You know its the 2.5 when you choose a colour and note there is no Gentian blue or Python green and Graphite Blue is an option.... if you choose a color then look at the exclamation mark of the colour choice you'll see a picture pop up that shows the 718 GTS by the writing on the door and note that it doesn't say GTS 4.0

That's been like that for a while, it's still the 2.5l, not the newer 4.0l.

I stand corrected. I would have thought they would have fixed that by now.

Sales Manager just emailed me and said he has been advised the configurator for the GTS 4.0 should be going live sometime on Wednesday! ;-)

i can’t believe I’m looking forward to CarPlay and heated seats being “free” on an 80-100k car, but there it is.

working is going to be unproductive tomorrow.

Awe hell: “and auto-dimming mirrors with rain sensors as standard.”

I @#$%ing hate auto-dimming mirrors. I was looking forward to ordering a new 718 without them.

Yes. I’m serious.

I wonder if this means that the LWB carbon seats will have heat like they do in Europe (which would be great!), or that they won't be offered as an option (which would be not so great)?

AFIAK the LWBS do not have heating, in EU/RoW it is the (GT2) "sports Buckets" that can be heated, and not the LWBS.

I know that the LWBS don't have heating. My question was, how are they going to make heated seats "standard" in the USA for 2021 when ordering a pricey upgrade (LWBS) deletes this "standard" feature? Maybe they found a way to make the LWBS heated, too. Not a big engineering problem since they already have the GT2 (sport buckets) heated in Europe.

sorry I misunderstood - I guess "standard" means "bundled" so if you change the seats, the "bundled" heating option is erased...

its a shame that the Sports Buckets are not available in the U.S - its a great seat and a good compromise between the "sofas" and the LWBS
