ED would be so awesome, but getting any nicks / stone chips from driving it around is what I don't like about the experience.

In my mind that’s like saying “Since I don’t like being sweaty and having to take a shower, I’m never going to have sex.”

I have a rock chip in my field of view in the 991TT. Whenever it attracts my attention, it gives me a smile because I remember how fast I was driving on the autobahn when the rock smacked into the windshield.

that’s the worst excuse I have ever heard. This will be my 4th Porsche ED, would never let that prevent me from the experience. Can get a door ding at the local grocery store, so do you never drive the car anywhere? Just do it, it’s worth the risk.

When (what time of the year) and where were you taking this picture?

That would have been around June 1st. All of the passes I’d mapped-out for us to drive were marked as closed. But, we decided to go on until our way was blocked. As we got closer we saw one tiny sign had changed from ‘red’ to ‘green’ and were able to do ‘half-a-pass’ until the way was, indeed blocked. Thread about our ED is linked to “991TT” in my signature block. We’re going again in - hopefully later June - ‘21 for CarChick’s Spyder. As for where, ugh... I’d have to dig out my notes. But, basically there’s a highway out of Zurich that leads to the tunnel under the Alps. There are tons of cool alpine roads off of that highway well-marked with road signs. Lemme google this road-side restaurant...

Id do it if there was a factory option to get some ppf on it before driving it hard on the ring.

This is the part of that pass to which I was looking forward, but was blocked from driving. Sad thing is that it might have been open the next day (see that orange truck? That was a public works crew surveying the pass...)

Not quite the right analogy though. It is more like you believe in having sex with strangers without any protection lol. To each his own. The rock chip you see is like a std scar you now have fond memories of...

Are you being serious? I can’t tell. If so, wow. Just wow.
