as I recall Porsche 2018 they issued (government) "exemption" letters for N.A ED cars ... which is why ED was suspended for a while, and why N.A orders were delayed (to allow more EU spec cars to be built prior to the change in the emissions regs)

Even if 2-3 days, to save time at home I'd take a night flight arriving next day morning, that day would be a slowish day due to travel and time difference. So 1 day lost, leaving 1-2 days of doing stuff. At least a week would be best to take in the car, Porsche factory stuff, MB museum and some food and couple sights, 10 days for doing mountain pass drives plus the stuff previously mentioned at relaxed pace.

My car locks March 6 entering body shop April 10. This before any CXX are confirmed, hope it won't change dates.
don't forget you can extend your insurance and keep the car in Europe for up to 6 months or 6000km before you must export ...

I parked my GT3 in secured business parking at Frankfurt airport for around 2 wks back in 2018 after picking it up and taking it to the Ring and Spa (https://www.frankfurt-airport.com/en...e-parking.html) ... and went back again to do the same before dropping it off back in Zuffenhausen - well actually in Sindelfingen (which is a dump - it was much better when you could drop the car at the factory)

I thought the factory was offering this as an option now?

These things aren’t trophies. I know it’s easy for me to say that, but if everyone could chill and drive these cars without worrying about bubble wrapping them their lives would be less stressful and life would be more fun. Just my view.
With all that being said, there’s a place that will do your PPF that PCNA euro department has recommended in the past. I tried to look for my email from 2 y ago but can’t find it. If you forgot to take your anxiety meds and really need it I would just call PCNA and ask.
I'm still picking bits of 'Ring grass out of my front splitter after a little "alternative line" through the Bellof S'es in excess of 130...

So, my plan is the following:

Day 1: Fly In to Liepzig, relax and fight jet lag
Day 2: Delivery, track and factory tour
Day 3: Drive to Nurburgring
Day 4: Ring Taxi @9AM and drive my car after a few laps (I'm lucky, it is a Tourist day that day). Sleep close to Baden-Baden .....

Any comments and recommandations are more than welcomed!
Spa Francorchamps is about an hour from the 'Ring.
I didn't know that when I did the 'Ring.

Has anyone done ED during the summer and found a road they wouldn't want to do again? I understand there are way more tourists in the mid-summer but I also don't want to deal with winter closures. SO, trying to plan a GT4 ED and we've asked for July 13 but haven't heard anything back yet. Would like to do about 3 weeks so I can get closer to that 6000km limit. Would like to drive as many mountain roads I always see in vehicle review videos, plus attend 24hr Spa as well as get a track day in there. Several days at the 'Ring of course. Just looking for any advice on places to stay away from more than anything.

That is good to know. Making two trips would be fantastic. What did secured parking cost?

My time problem won't fix itself this year. I have a 20 month old and almost 4.5 year old and wife works too. So it's busy times around here. I won't get blessing to take off for 5-7 days let alone twice this year to drive my car.

I think ED will have to wait 1-2 years more or something like that. Ideally take the whole family but kids would still be young to do lots of driving and would need two cars. Maybe need a Sport Turismo ED.

Yeah. I picked up a 911 in 2017 out of Leipzig and drove all the way to Romania. There were some roads that were like swiss cheese for miles. Seriously dangerous to drive on. lol. Their "interstate" was new though and very solid.
