June 4th confirmed
Good news. I got confirmation from PCNA directly that European Delivery of US Spec GT4's and Spyders can commence on June 1st!
I'm planning a european delivery adventure with a friend. both of us in GT4's.
if you all would like to join us we are happy for the company.
Delivery June 9th or 10th
Drive south to Garmisch.
Head to Stelvio Pass (if its open)
Stop by Maranello Ferrari Factory - where i usually do some acrobatics in front of their gate to say friendly hello from porsche.
Then Imola for 2 track days. friends/family/wives take a day trip to Venice tour Pagani/Lamborghini Factories.
Mugello Track day
then up to the Nurburgring for a private track day. (i have instruction provided) absolute must if you are new to the track.
then drop off cars in Frankfurt on June 20th.

Im doing ED again, June requested. I know the weather can be a challenge on some of the mountain passes, so as on prior ED trips often have to just wing it based upon conditions. Highly recommend Großglockner in Austria, plus it’s usually open year round. Italian Dolomites are a blast. One of my favorites is the Timmelsjoch connecting Italy and Austria, can use it to head back to Germany. But it is often closed due to weather, so check accordingly. Stelvio is a Must to do once, but avoid on weekends...unless you like driving slowly behind bicycles and small campers!
I love during Euro Delivery. When I don’t have a car ordered my wife and I usually fly over any way and rent a car! Have fun everyone. Hopefully see some of you in June with my GT4.

I did a Group Delivery in Leipzig which Porsche started doing about 3 years ago. It's a two day event instead of one at no extra cost which includes two nights in a Hotel and more meals paid for by Porsche. Below is the itinerary. Doing another group delivery in July.

"Thank you very much for your email. As we are currently at the beginning of the year when a lot of our customers are requesting to schedule their European Delivery Vacation, we have experienced an influx of requests. Because of this the response time may be later than normal, but we will respond to you in a timely fashion.
With kind regards, Your European Delivery Program"
....and this is just the start. Driving through the Alps, visiting small towns and finding holes in the walls to eat while you stare at your car is just fantastic.

Correct. You can get any Porsche delivered at either Stuttgart or Leipzig. For my C4, it was made in Stuttgart of course and was then shipped up to Leipzig. The group option thing is not really an option that you can select but an economies of scale effort by Porsche to keep cost and extra coordination efforts down by clumping deliveries together - especially during popular times in the summer. They do about 400 EDs per year. They asked me to participate in the this one in 2017 because I had already done an ED. I am doing another European Delivery in July and scheduled (tentatively) for a group delivery in Stuttgart from July 13-15th for my Spyder. I'm not sure how many they do a year but she (Tierra) gave me a couple dates to pick from. I am actually very frustrated with them right now because Tierra (PCNA ED Specialist) left after only 6 months and now someone else is doing it. They are swamped and have not returned calls or emails for the past couple weeks. Here is the latest email reply:
