It is intended to be a low friction surface to hold you in place so it makes zero sense on the dash unless you somehow got sofas and your passenger is holding on to the dash for dear life.
I got WP and PCCB on mine and had a heavy build prior to price increase at MSRP of $197k. I could've done PTS, but just didn't feel the lines of the car warranted it and just went Carrera metallic white over indigo. Wrapped in Xpel Stealth PPF and it's a nice frosted metallic white which looks great. The tough part is I'm unsure if it's a car I actually want to hold on to. My Acid Green 3RS will be here late Feb and that's a totally different car that actually deserved a PTS color. I don't think building a low optioned 4RS makes much sense as these are more cruisers than anything to me, and the Wrapped dash is actually pretty nice. The car as a whole though feels warmer as the Racetex doesn't have that cooling effect like smooth leather.

The racetex dash in my GT4 RS seems to reflect noticeably less glare in the windshield than the dash of my 981 GT4. You may or may not like the look of it and that's fair, but I do believe it has some function to it.
No WP here…I did not like the interior race-tex, so specced leather wheel and shifter…did not like the rear Porsche lettering…and thought I could just add the carbon intakes and cover later. Sure it would cost more but less than a custom interior, de-speccing the lettering and the carbon hood. I had full Alcantara in a 570s Spyder and never really liked it…plus the top of the doors are leather in the 4rs and that didn’t gel with the dash in race-Tex for me. Glad we can all option what makes us happy:-)…mine comes early ‘24…

Are you also going to swap out the race-tex seat inserts?
Took delivery recently. First short drive was my first with 4RS. The chassis is the mid engine Cayman we’ve come to love alright. Noise is perfectly loud and deafening, what a wonderful thing to hear. It could get old if I were to commute with it, but it’s a weekend car and a track one when opportunity arises. The quick rev building response made me think I was driving an older M3. A lot more power and drama here though and really no different from any GT Porsche, meaning you just want to drive it, can’t stop pushing it with each turn, and get done with it with a fatigued smile. Thank goodness for these engines.

We have different ideas of a cruiser. lol Really stiff, aural payoff when your on the gas hard...where does cruising come in?
