Thanks for repeating what I said. I knew I had voices in my head, add another to it. 🤣

What are your preferred aftermarket options?

All the tubers are parrots repeating what sells clicks.

3500 miles with a mix of cruising, highway, spirited mountain roads and track time… Exhaust, intake and engine noises pale in comparison to the road/tire noise! With exhaust in normal mode you can easily carry on a regular conversation with a passenger until you get to a surface that megaphones road/tire noise into the cabin If you’re on anything other than a perfectly smooth surface.

How is this not talked about? Because it’s an RS product, no sound insulation and is expected for a track car, so media bypasses this fact and focus on what creates a buzz and clicks for money.

I noticed that my US market car doesn't have auto start stop which was surprising because I thought it was some sort of EPA regulation. There was some discussion here that showed it was on pre-production/marketing images: https://rennlist.com/forums/718-gts-...he-gt4-rs.html. Does anyone know how Porsche was able to get around this?

Yes, no Auto Stop/Start for me either.
Plus, when PSE in ON, it's ON all the time, even at idle.
Plus, car always run cooler (low temp thermostat)
Plus, no driver assistance aids!

I love the simplicity.

PSE is always on at idle no? Are you saying your valves don't close at all?

When I engage PSE, the valve moves to open, even at idle. I was under the car to make sure with my son pressing it ON and OFF. I can also hear a sound change when cruising, as low as 2600 RPM with no throttle application when switching ON/OFF

Below 2600 the noise from the road overwhelms engine sound and I cannot hear the difference with 0 throttle application

If PSE is OFF...when you start the car they always are open until enough vacuum is reached and then they close....will stay closed until 4500-5000 rpms
With PSE ON they are open at idle but once you climb the revs, moving, they shut until 4000 rpm.
In order to keep them open all the time with PSE ON you need some kind of valve controller.

This is correct. I have over axle pipes now on my 4RS so you can clearly hear how quiet the car gets at 1k and wakes back up at 4k when the valves open.

I attached my cell to verify PSE operation and you are correct. Once the car starts moving, valve is closed, no matter what.

My spouses first trip in the 4RS was today, her response, “oh, this is pleasant.” “Much quieter than the Spyder.” “It’s loud when it needs to be loud, but we can still talk the rest of the time.”

So the trick to this ”the 4RS is too loud” nonsense is subject yourself and your passengers to hours and hours of a race piped 4L then move to the 4RS. It will be an improvement and you will be thanked for being considerate.

Recent arrival. It’s a good loud, but not unexpected. What a great chassis setup and quick shifting is addictive. Just wants to be driven.

Congrats to those who own one of these gems. Personally, I feel the GT4 RS has nailed its creators goals perfectly. Is it a little extreme for daily use? Yup. But on those perfect days and on those perfect roads the GT4 RS could quite possibly give the perfect drive. This is NOT an only car but instead a car to enjoy when you have time to really enjoy the drive.

Congrats, that looks darker than Arctic Gray, perhaps Nardo?
