disagree. The 4RS is much more special than the 3RS.
Porsche will make another NA 3RS. They won’t ever make anything like the 4RS again—amazing induction sound, NA, lightweight, motor sport engine in compact body.

It's subjective. I have some preference for 911s over Caymans, but like both. Porsche will make more NA 3RS, but not like the 991.

plesse give us your thoughts on tracking your 4RS yesterday compared to some of your other P cars.

I don’t think this comment with age well... I’m not sure why you think the 4 RS is “much more” special than the 3 RS.

He explains in the post why he feels that way. Hard to disagree IMO, they *will* make another 3RS with a bigger wing, an electric motor in the transmission and MOAR aero. Will they ever make a mid engine car again, with a motorsport engine, wild intakes in the size of a 997 911? No.

exactly.

i didn’t say that the 4RS was faster than a 3RS , just that it was more special, for the reasons that I and uncle dude stated.

I think my statement of the 4RS being more special will age just fine.

I’m not sure why you’re not sure why he likes it better. He gave his reasons…it’s all a matter of personal preference.

Personally, I’m glad the world doesn’t all think alike or like the same things. What a boring world it would be!

Pretty sure your statement age much worse than his.

There are 7 versions of GT3RS, 996 GT3RS, 997.1 GT3RS, 997.2 GT3RS, 997.2 GT3RS 4.0, 991.1 GT3RS, 991.2 GT3RS, 992.1 GT3RS, with the 8th 992.2 GT3RS just around the corner. With your choice of manual or PDK.

There will only ever be 1 GT4RS, never before and never after. Counting every car it's a much much rarer car than a GT3RS.

I don't. Track days don't require harnesses. In fact, if you choose to install harnesses, there are additional requirements placed on the install and supporting equipment.

He’s asking that because earlier you said “I had no real complaints at 6'3" and 210lbs with a harness and Simpson Hybrid HANS.”

Apologies, what I've written does sound confusing. The harness is when I have LWBs and a roll bar to connect a harness to, which has only been in one car. But I was perfectly comfortable. The only seats that I struggle to track in are the 14-ways that were available on the 991.1 GT3.

there were no 14 way seats for the 991.1 GT3, only 4 way, 18 way, and LWB.

the 991 Carrera models had 14 way seats as an option.

I did a "GT3 experience" at PECLA in August or so of 2022. I was able to drive on the small track a 991.1, 991.2, and 992 GT3, all PDK. The 991.1 was great except that I was not comfortable in the seats. As we came in, I told Hunter, the instructor, that I really didn't like the seats. My recollection was 14-way, though he could have said 4 way. They simply werent comfortable and were the bare minimum, in my mind, for track driving. No harnesses, just the seatbelt. The 991.2 on offer was clearly the 18 way and were very comfortable to me. OK on the track, though not ideal. The 992 had CF buckets and although I struggle to get in and out, they were much better on the track. I have since had several cars with the CF buckets at track days, mostly all with the 1-inch "recliner brackets" installed. I've had a 997.2 GT3 and a couple Turbo S with the 18 way and would spec any car not likely to be on the track several times with them instead.

It's too busy and just looks tacked on "Autozone", and I love CF as much as the next guy. Couple that with so many other body parts being matte black plastic and that giant not my style "PORSCHE" sticker on the rear window, it just doesn't look cohesive or good. However, after finally seeing AG in person I am sold. Looks the part IMO.

I also looked at a white 4RS without WP, and the white is VERY bright. Too bright for me. I am going with AG and no WP. What I am struggling with now is IB wheels or Neodyme, which I currently think look better...

*EDIT* I should add I do like the Race Tex dash that comes with WP, looks high-end like an exotic.
This is one of the best examples I could find with AG w/IB wheels, and no WP. Looks absolutely amazing, IMO!

As for standard white with IB wheels, this is the only real example I could find. If anyone else has better pictures of this combo, it would be greatly apricated if you could post them.

Yeah, I have watched both of those more times than I would like to admit. I'm sold on white right now.
