Sorry, I didn't scroll up!

So EU has (as has been posted before) different information on this in the owner's manual.

Thanks for sharing.

As far as I know, the US and Canada have maximum suggested RPM set at 4000 during break-in.

...and break-in lasts 3000km instead of 1500km as in EU !
Does anyone know why ? (apologies if this is a RTFF question )

It's the same engine as in the GT3. Why would break in be different between models?

The Italian version says 7,000 rpm for the RS...maybe to keep up with the local Ferrari's

Wonder what Porsche says about the difference in user manual suggested break in

I have, of course, a Dutch user manual;

1500km
7K RPM

Wow - so confusing.
The fact that the manual has a separate paragraph for the GT4 RS makes me think Porsche did intend to have a different max rev for the GT4 RS (compare to GT4) but for some reason decided the US models should stick to 4k rpm (afraid of lawsuits?)...

The disparity between Euro and US manuals is all about the relative legal environments and nothing to do with engineering.

932 miles (1500km) under 7k rpm is the engineering recommendation.

If they electronically enforced the 4k rpm limit for 2,000 miles, this might have an interesting impact on car flippers.

GT4RS is different than GT4 because the engine is different.

I did ED with my GT3 last year, 1500 km is what the car displayed upon startup until it cleared. Which it did when back in Canada and the 1500 mark was passed. The Canadian manual was something much higher IIRC. The manual was provided by the dealer and not included at ED delivery.

OUCH!

First reported PDK issue with the RS. Car is parked on the side of the road with ~650 miles on it. No further details posted.

Is this a trend...or a single data point?
