As for the fender vents… I think that whatever is going on there is going to open them up to produce more df, as I’m not really sure how effective the OEM configuration really is from factory…. and has been alluded to by a few people.
Obviously, the Carbon Fibre is eye candy.

I still have the grills I never mounted on the 718 Gt4...got now an excuse to use them!

On the front fender vents I remember they even cover them up during testing.....I can imagine, like all Manthey packages, they wont sell anything individually.

Yikes on the "my car is oversteering from factory...oh, that's because one rear wheel is toe-in, the other toe-out".

Rule no.1 when to get your new car for track.. just check that it’s actually straight!

Regarding break-in period, what procedure you guys followed for your car?
The above video surprised me a little since presumably the car was just delivered and yet they send it all the way to redline...
Are GT cars "OK" to redline sooner?
Part of me tells me it's hard to imagine PAG expecting people buying GT cars for track enjoyment will wait 1,200 mi to do so...

I am doing 1000. I believe the U.S manual states 2000.

The break-in question has to be the most asked on the forum... The manual spells out the 'official' Porsche party line, to deviate from that is your own personal choice.

Asking what others have done doesn't really validate your decision, just because they took it to redline in a video doesn't make it any more right, and the difference between 1200 miles and 2000 miles could easily be erased in a couple of days of driving.

The most interesting part of this debate is that the RS has a count down displayed in the right IC that works of a different number than the lawyer number in the manual.

All other engines/models need not apply.

You would think if it was that important they would bake it into the software and limit revs through the initial break in miles.

Anyway, as you were...
@lilbza . So in another thread counting cars in North America... There are currently 2,664 GT4 from 2020 to 2022. There are now also 1,277 4RS with 3 to 5 being built EVERY DAY and shipped to North America. That very well means that there will be as many if not MORE GT4RS in North America before the dust settles and sunsets.

My apologies, I forgot some yanks live in a bubble. I'll let you in on a little secret, the ROW doesn't reside in NA... oh, and there's a MY23 GT4, incase you didn't already know. Might want to add them to your numbers.

my point is you and others in this thread laughed when I suggested there just might be as many or close to it 4RS vs GT4. Aaaaand that there will be a time you can get an allocation of a 4RS at MSRP or pick one up at a price less than people are paying for them now. I predict early 2024 and when SRS come out. Already I’m getting offers for 4RS allocation at very low ADMs and passing…

This car was driven > 1.2k mi before taken on the 'Ring. I know the owner.

Regarding break-in, everyone has a different flavor they follow, but when I did Euro delivery of my 4RS in Oct '22 I did roughly the following:

1) first 200 mi kept revs below 4000 rpm
2) incremented by +500 rpm every 100 mi
3) yes, the little blue alert reminding me to observe the break-in procedure disappeared at 1200 mi (and, yes, my car is a US spec model)
4) did oil change at ~2000 mi
