My post was not about the actual lift points on the vehicle but the vehicle's longitudinal center of gravity in relation to the vertical posts.

With a non-zero longitudinal distance between the vehicle's center of gravity and the vertical posts, you are putting a moment force on the lift's floor connection. The moment force is going through the actual posts, and ultimately puts tension on some of the anchor bolts in the concrete. Of course, a certain CoG-to-post distance would have to be acceptable (probably in the lift manufacturer's literature, which may reference the strength of the anchoring system and concrete specification).

However, with the guess (I don't know) that the Cayman's longitudinal center of gravity being somewhere between the seats and engine, that's a significant distance.

Interesting conversation about lifts, a little off topic but good information. I had me researching too, note the relationship of the vehicle weight is to the arms not the posts.

The weight of a vehicle must be evenly distributed on a two post lift. The operator must remember that whether the vehicle is lifted in a symmetric or asymmetric configuration, the weight of the vehicle must be evenly distributed on each of the four arms.
Reference: Lift Terminology: Asymmetric vs. Symmetric (atlasautoequipment.com)

Elise owner here. Elise has three pairs of lift points. Forward, middle, rear. The famous morons who destroyed the car in the picture used forward & middle. Middle ones are not to be used on a 2-post lift.

The issue is the rear ones are hidden behind a belly pan that needs to be removed and they are located right in FRONT of the rear wheels. There is an aftermarket solution that adds exposed lift points in the same vicinity.

The rear 718 lift points are located similarly under the engine in front (and near to) rear wheels. Using them with 2-post lift should be just fine.

Congrats! Try weigh it after full Xpel

they were using the factoy lift points
this picture was at the porsche center the day before. I can only hope that they know how to lift the car correctly

They sound like completely different cars. The intake noise even at low RPMs is just amazing. Many people said the car was too loud. I thought it would be overbearing at all RPM ranges. It actually sounds quieter than my GT3 I think with sport exhaust off and just cruising at low RPMs. Easy to have a conversation with someone or hear the radio. I also don't think it feels any firmer than my GT3 on normal roads. People kept talking about how bumpy it was. My friend said he thought the GT3 felt firmer. I know that's not the case, but it doesn't feel any harder. So far I'm in love, and I guess I'm definitely keeping both.
1500 kms / 930 miles break in. 7k until then. You’re welcome!

It’s in the manual…. 7k is no hardship tbh as it sounds so good even at low revs…

I timed my first 9k run pretty well…

My manual says 2,000 miles but with all the reading I've done I agree with you. I've been keeping it under 5,000 for the most part and after 900 I plan to open it up. Need to get these miles on quick. Thankfully it's the most fun sounding low speed car I've ever driven. Even 3000-4000 RPMs sounds so good. So much more fun at low speeds than the GT3.

From what I “hear,” this is the best slow corner sounding car ever. The rapid fire downshifts to 2nd and the fast upshifts on exist are incredible!

Do you have the new manual with 4rs in it also? The run in period is different to the std gt4 and is clearly stated as such.

Ok, So after Xpel the car weighed 3 LBS more. But I drove 12 Km. in traffic. So assuming I used a gallon of fuel
Maybe Xpel adds around 9 lbs.
