Thanks, @lamacan. Appreciate you checking and the referral. I have a good relationship with the local dealer. I actually turned down the PTS allocation. I'm sliding myself on the list to the last MY; so, was trying to get an idea on what's the last production year, if I can. I'm betting MY22, which will work well with my plans. Thanks again.

For the GT4 RS, Porsche is expected to add internals borrowed from the 911 GT3's 4.0-liter engine which is rated at 500 hp, specifically the GT3's titanium connecting rods and dry-sump system. These could help the GT4 RS's engine rev higher to produce more power.
Das Hinzufügen einer Trockenschmierung, eines neuer Ventiltechnik und von Titan-Innenteilen würde "diesem Motor mehr Leistung und mehr Drehzahlen ermöglichen", fügte er hinzu.

The internals or the block or both?

dass die Entfernung der GT3-Komponenten die Technik optimieren würde, um den Flat Six des GT4 noch weiter zu bringen
The article also states that AP warns of a price increase due to the inclusion of the "high tech" parts required and that this would confront PAG with a marketing problem and push the car to far into 911 territory.

The way I read the article is that these high end components would raise the price deep into 911 territory. This causes a big marketing problem for Porsche. So my question is, are they doing it or are they short changing the Cayman again?

I agree and has been my opinion since this rumor started......in order for this model to be viable you need more than hard-core RLs that want this...hey I'm included on that list but lets face it...PAG is all about making money, specially these days....take for example PTS, $13K for paint, at that's in the US, don't go to other countries where they add huge taxes based on the price of the car. So you think they will raise the price $20K or $30K for an RS version of the GT4? Doubtful. At the end the sales and marketing department will win unless the Motorsports side can make a extremely strong argument that offers something more than profits. Unless......we get 15 more HP, some small aero/suspension improvement and a small weight reduction.....for another $30K of course.

[QUOTE=ExMB;16842045]And the motor guy also says removal of GT3 components would allow for optimization of the GT4 engine
dass die Entfernung der GT3-Komponenten die Technik optimieren würde, um den Flat Six des GT4 noch weiter zu bringen
But this makes no sense.... the removal of GT3 components (so in the GT4 engines are already GT3 components??) allow for optimization of the GT4 engine? What?
I think it's translate porley as the german sentence makes no sence and is grammatically incorrect….

here is my swag of all the really important updates and upgrades which are coming for the GT4RS.
-they magically find another 20-25 hp from the current GT4 engine.. but no 9000rpm exotic gt3 engine.
-some extra aero, a pdk, new steering calibration which everyone will pretend they can notice.
-the end.
will i get it? if my contacts hold, i think yes. because while these are just going to be subtle upgrades an already fantastic car, my favorite track car EVER to drive is the GT4 Clubsport.. and if this even comes close and then i can just drive it home.. then it's going to be the best car ever period.
price? base $117k. (can i have $1 bob)

Chatter on German forum seems to increase with 8.5k redline and 475hp posts which match what our favorite cleaning lady has prophesized long ago..
Keep in mind that present day GT4 with PDK and LWBS (both std on RSs) is already $110k. Add to that the customary aero, suspension, engine, etc enhancements plus the yearly price increase and one would most likely look at atleast $130+k base before options.

I thought "Oh, I'll get on the list at the local dealer..."
I'm on good terms with them. They maintain the out-of-warranty cars as well, and I've always bought from them.
#32 on the list for a GT4RS. Little to no chance that I'd get one from them as their GT4 allotment isn't that big. There must be *some* interest in it.![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I'm MUCH closer on the 992.2 GT3RS list, so I'll probably have to buy used or wait for the GT3RS.
