No discussion on the 18-ways, they are obviously more comfortable and a good option for those than don't track and can live with an RS without LBWS....fo some this is heresy but I have done GT cars with 2-ways. Even the occasional track day is Ok.
What he said … oh and the heresy part🤣

MY 992TTS was on the boat right after the last one went down. On the 4RS I said to my Sales GM "let's hope it doesn't go down" his response jokingly, "no the one with your Acid green 3rs later this year will". "We only let them sink every couple of years(referring to the 2019 sinking aswell." 😆

I think you could poss pick those up from classifieds ??
The seats that are in high demand of the ones you currently have I’m not sure you want to sell those you may want to keep them so when you sell the car it’s an attractive sell… ?
I’m sure they’re 100 people that would want to swap with you…
Sorry about your back that’s terrible😢
Best regards
ed

Thanks … 🙏
I’m betting you have a paint the sample if you’re waiting that long?…
Sadly, I couldn’t get the PCCB’s I wanted😢 so I’m gonna have to look for those in the aftermarket, somehow willing to pay off big time if someone wants to swap
Take are best of luck👍

Thanks Ed. I'll check it out. Might get lucky. I'll keep the buckets in case I sell the car.

As others have said above, you can swap buckets with the “sofa” seats super easily both in labor and $$$. I’m sure if you posted up a straight trade buckets vs “sofas” your email would be full my morning.

I’ve done countless 10 hour days in my buckets, found them really comfortable as they somewhat cradle you “perfectly”. However we are all different and if you are not enjoying them then definitely swap for a seat that you’ll like more which will help with enjoying the car more.

i just did 1000 miles in 24 hours in a 4RS from Stuttgart to Monaco with buckets and didn't have so much as a twinge in my back. i think it's really about your leg position and general posture. if you're an older guy with bad posture and a gut, it'll get you. if you naturally have good posture, you'll be fine. worst case, throw a towel back there for lumbar. or get a custom lumbar pillow from justin placek or one of the other cushion guys.

honestly fine. i think the "loud" narrative is massively overblown. it's crazy loud at WOT. even set off a warning on the apple watch for extended exposure to high db (over 90) but in normal driving its fine. much quieter at idle and normal speeds than my 997 GT3 with sharkwerks. the issue is the gearing is so short that its more or less underivable on the highway at any speed above 75 mph. really 70 mph. but at 70 MPH on the highway you can easily have a normal conversation. the problem is at 115 MPH you're at 5,000 RPM in 7th. but at normal speeds its totally fine.

This is interesting comments regarding comfort.

I just leant my buddy my 4RS for the day. I took my GT3 and we drove 3 hours on roads to and from the track and did a full track day.

At dinner all he could talk about is how comfortable the RS is and “all the creature comforts” in comparison to his older Lamborgini that he drives regularly. Specifically the seats are so much better in the porsche(buckets).

He doesn’t read forums, doesn’t know porsche much. Thought the 4RS is a buttercup. All perspectives I guess.
