Were the press drives just on the track? Was there any time available on the road?

Road as well, about an hour. I have some footage but it's hard to use any of it and not flirt with breaking the embargo. In any case there isn't anything you would see or hear from road footage that is not on the track vid.

There was one non-Weissach car for road drives but I ended up in the WP one.

Did they give you any tech time? Like a car on a lift?
I'm interested to see how the engine is positioned and what it means for the exhaust, which sounds great.

No, but we have pictures, drawings and any time we wanted with the head of GT road car engines to ask questions. I asked quite a few.

on the porsche website there's an animation of the exhaust system, it is different than the GT4 / Sypder, but the back box looks similar..... I wonder if they went with the electric valves like the 911.

Hopefully you found out if the car has an adjustable length rear toelink to cure the limitations on the regular GT4 and its fixed length one.

From looking into whats on Porsche website....Mechanical valves.....similar box to GT4 but with a single inlet instead of the 2-way, split design.
All vendors that have GT4 mufflers should be able to adapt them easily to the GT4RS.
Before the muffler the GPFs are different and the secondary O2 sensors are right before the GPF on the over axle pipes.....this should help in repositioning the Cats where the GPF are with a little O2 extension....like Dundon and BC Fab system.
The headers at least from that photo/animation in the Porsche website look different.

So I have a estimated delivery date of 7/22 and Porsche just said PCCBs are no longer an option for the 4RS due to supply issues. Anyone else getting the same news yet? I'm bummed.

well that’s the one of the issues, since they’re shutting down all manufacturing due to no wire harnesses so all dates are out the window at this moment.
