Yeah. I forgot not everyone is like me putting tons of miles on the car, enjoying it on mountain roads, and doing simple maintenance myself, including wheel removal.
But I don't hold it against anyone who goes to car shows and wants to keep their car low mileage. We each enjoy our Porsches in our own ways.

There seems to be a ton of new GT4 RS pics up on Instagram from various folks in the press. Any updates on the embargo date? I've heard it could be on or around March 12th.

I have given up the idea of the conversion from centerlock to 5 lug. I will just deal with the centerlocks. Also Ive only had three screws or nails in any of my tires among my family cars over the past 20 years and I carry a tire plug kit and another sealant beside what came from Porsche, so I think I will be OK with centerlocks.
I guess it is a marketing decision by Porsche that centerlocks are desired by GTxRS customers. But it would be nice if centerlocks were standard, but 5 lug with different style wheels were a no cost option on all GT models. This is the way the 992 GTS and 992Turbo are able to be configured with 5 lugs as a no cost option. (I realize the 992 is higher volume so more wheel choices are possible there due to tooling cost spread. )
The 5 lug set up is lower weight according to the 997 conversion study. So for weight savings alone, Porsche should allow the 5 lug,
Rotating unsprung weight is the most important place for weight savings.
Also since the RS is destined for track use, tire changes are so much easier and more reliable with 5 lug.
PDK is the only transmission because it fits with the track character, so why would not 5 lugs fit for track use?
Even Ferrari with such cars as the F8 Tributo are 5 lug.
Sorry for the rant if you have read this far. I hope Porsche reads this.

With regard to the centerlocks, that is different. Those are only designed to look like a track part with advantages at the track (quick wheel changes with impact gun). But the road version of centerlocks has none of the advantages of track center locks (an impact gun will destroy them) - they only look the part. Using them is slower, requires more tools and/or people, and is messier than 5-lugs (no weight saving either).

Savagegeese has one, looking forward to their video review! They referenced a couple of weeks, so maybe you're correct!

It was a Porsche sponsored video (DPC cars, I think) on how the paint is applied to a carbon fiber hood on a 911 Turbo S Exclusive Edition leaving some parts with exposed CF, some parts painted. I was going to refer to the 4.5 minutes which showed many of the steps of manual labor, extra materials, etc. to achieve something similar to the CXX stripes for the GT4RS which cost so much. Just to give some curious viewers appreciation for the many steps. since there were some strong comments.
So I found this video and watched the hood painting several times and copied the URL. But when I pasted it into my post I got the Video no longer available message.
If you type the following into the You Tube Search box you will find the video:
Painted carbon fiber 911 Turbo S Exclusive Edition hood, DPCars . Now the link works because this is a video of just the hood prep and painting rather than production of the entire car that I first watched.

Ukraine is probably a big supplier of components and therefore some delays can be expected. 1st Covid, then Ukraine, whatever next?

Current Porsche production sources ALL of their wiring harnesses from the Ukraine. Hopefully they have an alternate. But certainly expecting some production delays in all this.
