My point was that I expect the dealer to trade at value considerably BELOW market and wholesale. They plan to take the ADM off the trade, in addition to the wholesale discount.

Some info on the review embargo: it lifts March 23rd 00:01 AM CET. So late afternoon on the 22nd for most of you in the US.

Best GT/RS car ever, and certainly most bang for bucks - I think we will hear that quite a lot.

This, and everyone will feel required to compare it to the 992 GT3. To which I will say, of course the 992 GT3 is a better car, like all things Porsche, (including options) if you spend more, its generally better. But not necessarily a better value.

I will also bet that 2/3rd will speculate if the car is too hardcore for the street. Most journalists will be careful not to say something bad about any offspring from the fatherland, so they will choose instead to question whether or not it is too fast / too loud / too low for the street. I will most appreciate the journalist who has the ***** to come right out and say something like "this car sucks....unless you are taking it to the track, where it is awesome".

My other interest will be in collecting every printed magazine article about the car, like I did with the 981 GT4 when it was launched. Always fun to be in an airport or newsstand and see another article, another perspective on what may turn out to be the ultimate Cayman.

I’ve put my Taycan up for sale, and was thinking of getting a Cayenne/Macan to trailer the GT4RS the insane distances I need to travel to and from tracks. I’ve got one 200km away, but most tracks are like 1500-2000kms away. The Taycan has been a wonderful daily, but it hasn’t got a tow bar..

But suddenly I felt an urge for a roofless 718. A Boxster GTS would be a nice daily and the GT4RS for the weekend blasts!

Yes. Even AP in the Top Gear video said he can see journalists after driving the GT4 RS coming out with a mad grin on their face and saying to AP "Are you MAD?"
As AP discussed it is not a car for a daily drive, or not even for a weekly drive from London to Glasslow. AP said if you feel like taking your motorcycle for a drive then you can drive the GT4 RS instead for driving fun, the joy of driving. My understanding is that AP said it is for the track or for mountain driving.
For pure driving pleasure. Can't wait to hear the reviews.

Does your area pay attention to tow capacities because the Cayenne would work but the Macan is over weight towing a GT4 on a trailer.

Yes. The Macan has 2,4t of tow capacity. That leaves at least 0,9t for the trailer and should suffice. An open trailer is around 0,5-0,6t. A closed one around 1.0t

Payload and tongue weight are often limiting factors.

Have you seen a Macan? I love them but wonder where I’m going to fit two full sized golf bags much less regularly tow a car.

4400 pounds is max tow capacity.

I would not use a Macan to tow a car and trailer combo, not enough margin for its tow capacity or how it would handle and ride at highway speeds.

Also, I would think that you need to look at the Macan's gross weight capacity.

A 718 Spyder would solve both of your problems in one fell swoop

Does anyone know if there is a way to find out which dealers got allocations for the GT4RS in the US ? If so, how many did each dealership get ?

Macan's in the US have a different tow rating than the ones in Europe. Additionally there are towing speed limits that don't exist in the US.
