uuuh. Now I loke the grey much more than on the presentation car. Might also be due to the more sensible configuration (Y)

Double wishbone fronts would make sense since the car is AWD and it would be a better front suspension to help the front motor put the power down to the ground. The rear remaining a strut based rear is very puzzling for various reasons (unless there were issues with packaging)
Edit: Found the Mission-R details here:
So it looks like there were packaging issues that affected their decision to use a McPherson based rear suspension.

Presentation and gratitude
First off, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Kike and I am from Barcelona.
I just wanted to show my grattitude sharing with you guys my spec on the GT4RS (no vanity here, just willingness to share):
- WP
- PTS Nato Olive - non metallic - LSH
- CXX front stripe (not confirmed yet)
- Neodyme
Obviously this thread has been enormously useful on my decision (former: GT3, GT3RS current: GT4) and would like to thank you all for that.
Willing to contribute with any info/experience I get from this car from now on. Expected delivery: June 2022.

Burning Brakes
Thanks, much appreciated.
Wonder what kind of rear MacPherson strut suspension that car uses, the press release from PAG stated:
https://newsroom.porsche.com/en/2021...ity-25604.html
Always wondered if that was a typo if the car indeed had double wishbone front and struts rears, getting under the car and taking pictures would be the only real way to confirm that information.

But just look at that picture. The electric motor in this test vehicle is TINY compared to any Internal Combustion Engine. With a clean sheet design for an electric sports car, they could have made this rear suspension anything they wanted. In that picture, they have all the room in the world for a double wishbone or multilink rear design if this is just an electric car.
So the idea that the rear of this platform had to be McPherson strut only makes sense to me if this platform also has to support ICE powertrains too. So there are really only 2 explanations in my mind - 1)Perhaps the platform this concept car is based on is a 982 or 992 variant and because of that legacy of the platform, it was deemed too expensive to reengineer it to move the main rear hard points around. Or 2) (much more likely in my opinion) the next gen Cayman/Boxster will also have ICE drivetrain options.
