I think he means that once you add the WP to the 4RS price will be similar to a 992......my configuration with WP (no Mag wheels) is a bit above base price of the 992GT3...at least in our market.
Was just checking suncoast, the GT2 RS mag wheels is only 20k now. I am guessing the GT4 RS sizes would also be the same. So for the price of WP + stripe and still no mag wheels, you could just get mag wheels.
I was thinking the Suncoast way also. But I believe the GT2RS wheels are different width and offset. I have not found any magnesium aftermarket wheels for Porsche centerlock yet. Does anyone know if there is a supplier that does magnesium wheels to custom specs?
Following your selection of vehicle options from the Porsche Vehicle Configurator, you may wish to consider adding the Porsche Design GT4 RS Watch that Andreas Preuninger touted during recent interviews.
CAUTION: Watching the videos, some were left with the notion that this special watch – described as matching your GT4 RS's option scheme – will accompany your purchase of the car. But, alas, that's not the case. It's not only another (costly) option, it's even merited its very own 'watch configurator'! And the cost of this unique chronometric adornment? North of US$7,000 (adjusting for a deduction of a listed 20% VAT). To place your order, check it out: Porsche Design Timepiece Configurator.
Below is a sample GT4 RS watch taken from the Porsche Design website:
At $7K your'e better off getting an Omega Dark Side of the Moon rather than some designer/fashion watch from a car company.

For what its worth, I bought one of the Porsche Design watches to match my Spyder (same stitching, color scheme etc). It has a COSC certificate and seems like a super high quality piece...a far cry from the previous rebranded Tissots or whatever.
Does anyone have any predictions on how necessary the front lift will be? Looks like the "regular" GT4 is also at PASM -30mm. Wondering if it's something to spec or skip.

I'm sure it's a cool thing to have to match the car. I just wouldn't spend money on it when I can get a Rolex or Omega or something like that.

It definitely takes this car out of street driving, daily driver category, which I guess is the point of this car.
I have to say, this car almost doesn't make much sense at all. For more street driving, the GT4 will be the better option, while for track work, the GT4 RS Clubsport makes more sense.
The only use case this car really makes any sense to me is as a weekend toy that you plan to only drive for an hour or so. Much longer than that, and the volume levels would get on your nerves.
Yes, yes, it's a bad car, no one should order it. Cancel your pre-orders please, everyone. PM me the name of your dealer too, I will make sure no one else makes the mistake of buying this misfit car.

Yes 2RS wheels are much larger than 4RS wheels - this company worked with BBS (the OEM Mag wheel supplier) to make Mags in a smaller size for 991 GT3. This might be a source to get Mag wheels for 4RS without WP:
But I'd also think that lightweight forged alloys like BBS FI-R is a pretty good solution for less than half the money (pretty sure they would build these in the desired sizes and centerlock with enough interest). Might even choose 9" wide fronts with careful choice of offset.

I skipped the Mag wheels and will go for a set of Forgelines so that way I can get 9" on the front....wonder if they could work a "miracle" so 19" could fit because the only option would be to swap the whole brake system for an AP RadiCal
