Those little window triangles in front by the mirrors are about $50 ea in plastic, in CF the are almost $375 each. I definitely wouldn't call that "not much more".

YES!

Also, it appears the painted stripe on the hood is a confirmed Cxx option...

Can't wait to see the CXX cost on this when you just paid to take the paint off the hood!

For me, pricing isn't really a decision factor (anyone who can afford the GT4RS or even vanilla GT4 should be able to afford a GT3). I prefer mid-engine and the looks of the Cayman over the 911. The GT4RS with the GT3 engine is almost perfect. If only a manual was offered (which I know the GT3 has available).

But we know that this is a completely different process, you don't simply take the paint off the hood!

First you have to make a visually perfect CF hood then mask and hand paint the stripe before polishing it all out...

The car with a painted hood likely gets painted on the line.

I know that...I'm just trying to be ironic that you paid to get the naked carbon and then you paid even more to put some paint back!
Buy hey...I did choose the WP on my build and that's purely cosmetic so whatever floats your boat.

The only problem I have with the GT4RS, or any Cayman, is the rear 3/4 view. It doesn't inspire much to me. GT4RS looks like a beast though.

well compared to the overall WP package it’s not much more. Just odd they don’t have as an option. Must be a reason why. It’s a money maker so why not?

True!

I mean, delivering the car with the "exposed" CF roof actually saves them time and cost to paint it.

While the cost is probably buried in all kinds of supply and finishing calculations, getting bare cf to look good vs painting over it it might be the more expensive solution.

But most importantly, it's what they can charge for something not what it costs that dictates price we pay.

Yup, I'm definitely getting that option for WP because it looks way better than just the carbon fiber hood.

I hope they keep the hood paint stripe separate from the wing. Any price guesses? $5k?

Or just get a standard car and put carbon wrap thingys on both sides of the hood for the same look. Save 20k!

If you are doing Cxx, I’m sure they can do it.

Another option I hope gets added everywhere. The 90L tank is a must have.
