Shouldn't the mods at this point think about making a GT4 RS sub forum?

Yep. I was starting to think it’s a Corvette forum…

They bench marked Porsche and Ferrari but only in numbers and performance......reliability we will see....styling they juts did the same old GM teenager design, thumbs down for me on this one.
We say this, but then we have the well known issue of 991.1 engine failures, 3rd gear failures in GT4's, the GT4 stop sale and so on. Porsche is generally more reliable than GM and the C7 Z06 had its overheating issue but I don't think the reliability is as big of an issue as it's sometimes made out to be. Perhaps the biggest difference is that Porsche is more likely to stand by their product and usually doesn't have to be sued to make things right.

Maybe waiting out those early Z06's would be prudent, that all depends on your tolerance for risk of issues, dealing with downtime, etc. I think the value proposition of this new Z06 is so strong it may be worth taking the risk, especially since getting a GT4RS will be very difficult, very expensive, or both.

Best best for both Z06 and GT4 RS is wait until 2025. Competition is fierce and best not be beta tester.

I really don't like the styling.... And most of all it will look dated very quickly... But I might end up having one since GT4RS is not going to be accessible to most... And there is nothing on the market with those performances at that price.

Not very smart advice unless you are under 30 and don't really have the money to buy it anyway. Enjoy now. In 2005, I was looking at airplanes. One manufacturer had what looked like the best package, but wouldn't deliver for 1-2 years. The other one I could buy now. I decided to buy now and the one I wanted to buy didn't make it to the market until 2016. Damn glad I didn't wait! And yes, I'm on the list for the 4RS and the Z06. No reason to choose one.

Google translate:

"VerifiedFast enough? In the GT4 RS, Porsche lays another hand on the four-liter six-cylinder and gives the boxer 500 PS. Compared to the GT4, in which the naturally aspirated engine develops 420 hp and delivers 420 Nm, this is a decent sip from the power bottle. Development driver Jörg Bergmeister lapped the 20.832-kilometer Nordschleife in a slightly camouflaged production vehicle in 7: 09.300 minutes. The shorter version with a length of 20.6 kilometers, which used to serve as a benchmark, was completed by the GT4 RS in 7: 04.511 minutes - exactly 23.6 seconds faster than its little brother, the 718 Cayman GT4. To protect the driver, the mid-engine sports car was equipped with a racing seat. Optionally available Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires were fitted. A notary confirmed the serial condition and weight of the vehicle"

Yes. I ended up with a TBM instead and then a Citation Mustang. Flew them over 2500 hours while waiting for a Honda. Actually, in 2010, I finally requested my deposit back which Honda quickly gave me.
