718 GT4RS

I am assuming the 4rs doesn’t have the 992 GT3 front double wishbone and rear wheel steering. But it has extra quarter window ram air scoop (+15hp?) that might increase rear world power. The midship finally proof it’s true potential~

And why is there an implied assumption that people who will own this car are not enthusiasts, ridiculous!
Cheers,
Harry.

Yep, they will be in the hands of the flippers. I wish Porsche would take a stand against that , kinda like Ferrari does.

So no one who is looking for that feeling is going to worry if the 992 GT3 is 6 seconds faster on Nordschleife or 10. And certainly isn't going to care if GT4RS can't keep up with the Next GT3RS or the previous one either. If they do they shouldn't buy it and move on to something else.

I found his commentary interesting - the video comparison ot the 4 cars, his observations regarding the fender vents, the potential brake issues, the constant lift off mid-corner to help rotation, etc….were all insights that very few people would have picked up IMHO. As for his credentials, he lives at the ring, he instructs at the ring, he races in VLN at the ring, and does over 1,000 laps a year. He knows the track so well that he even published a video where he instructed blindfolded. Very few people know the ring as well. Plus he is genuinely an all around nice guy having met him at the ring at Apex
If that slit on the front fenders from the spotted shot from LA is the final product, that'd be one fugly line. The current duct tape don't appear to be covering aggressive vents found on the 2RS/3RS.

Misha did an awesome job presenting a number of factors, did a comparison with a number of other GT cars and I now think Porsche sandbagged the GT4 RS time... can't wait for independent confirmation on production samples

And let's keep in mind that this was not necessarily a legitimate time if the production car appears with front fender vents and a different intake vent in the rear quarter window. Besides, I find it odd that Porsche released a lap before the car was released. That's not normally the way they do it. I suspect there will be another run sometime next year when the ring reopens after winter.

Just went to Porsche HK to discuss and they seem to have an idea of the pricing. Its slightly more than the base 911 (which over here costs more than the GT4 at 1.6Million) at around 2.3Million. Rear suspension... forget it. I'll rather get the old GT3 when i've had enough of the GT4.

Seems reasonable to me and par for the course

Doesn’t the GT3’s motor get an extra +20 hp as it runs through the air at high speeds?
I thought Andreas had said that at the release of the car.

But, it is the YouTube algo that he is feeding into to hit that magic 8-12 min video...
