Well there is this for the 911…

people report varying success; but for the few that it works for appears to replicate V code status and even production pics.
most report failure.
huge thread on 992 forum.

Man, jealous of you all! I put my name down back in March for a PTS BGTS, no word at all (other than playing phone tag with the SA a few weeks ago, but never really nailed him down). I actually might throw my hat in for a Shark Blue Spyder as well. I'm in no rush and was considering a 991 if I got a truly unicorn spec, but with the 911 market being what it is, I'll try a bit harder to secure an allocation.

Are you able to do this without the VIN for the car, or do you already have the VIN? I have a commission number, but no VIN yet, and would love to find a way to track my car on my own without continually bugging my SA!

I received an email when I got V200 congratulating me with my order. The email had a link to My Porsche. When you click it it has your car like in my screenshot. 1st was stage 1, I received a second email about a week ago telling me my car is now scheduled for production with a link again, now stage 2. No VIN for my car yet.

Finally caught up with my SA today and gave me the good news that he had called a few weeks ago because they got an allocation for me in November (he laughed and said he wasn't trying too hard to get in contact with me because it was so far away) and he seemed to think it was a PTS allocation as well. So, very exciting! Now to tell my wife the bad news...

I was in the garage earlier doing an oil change on my truck when someone in a Carrera pulled into my driveway to turn around. Really thought that was a sign I'd hear from my SA that they got an allocation today....but I guess not.

After further research, I think that manager is misinformed. Porsche does not give advance notice to dealers of incoming GT allocations. I really think all signs point to being awhile before we see GT4/Spyder allocations with how things are going. I'm going to hope maybe in the Fall the next "batch" will come out just so Porsche can manage the chip shortage and prioritize the 992s.

I have 3 dealers in the Central FL area that will let me know as soon as they get a 2022 Spyder allocation - none of them have any idea other than "soon" as to when any might be received.

Feels like that's what a lot of dealers are saying. Although "soon" could be months away

Basically, no one knows. I have a 2021 expected to be delivered late next month in June but 2 of the 3 dealers do not know that am I am at the top of list at one for a Spyder allocation. The SA there emails me often to say nothing yet so I am sure when they get one I will hear, and they are a high volume dealer.
