This would make sense because we all know the PDK will be much faster accelerating and with more power, they can price it similar to base GT3 which it will kind of compete with.....tis came from no one but my own head!
there was an article recently discussing the "long gearing" *issue* (https://carbuzz.com/news/porsche-adm...an-gt4-gearing) ... where a PAG exec was quoted saying that this would be *fixed* by the PDK (which presumably has shorter ratios) ... hence the assumption that it will eventually appear on the GTS, GT4 and Spyder (as well as the RS)

agreed!

I keep saying that to prevent a switch to the faster PDK model.
Given that the 4.0 GTS is not (yet) offered with PDK, I am guessing that GT4/Spyder PDK will not appear in 2021MY configurations - my bet is it will appear when the RS is announced/launched

I don't think they starting sell the GTS 4.0 in Canada yet. Maybe things are delayed due to Covid. Is this the same for the rest of the world?

agreed!
I am under the impression the gearing in the manual GT3 and other 911 are also long but those motors may not be so noticeable with the power band, etc. On that note, I was never able to clearly find the Nurburgring lap time differences between manual vs. PDK GT3. I know the GT3 RS is much faster for some reason.

Hey @s2kspyder .. Matt did a video with the manual and said same wrt the GT4 manual. The torque the 911 produces completely changes the perception.

Actually the other way around, cars with a manual become collectors items!

I'm late to the MSRP allocation hunt and just missed one here by a few days . Is this the best spot to lurk for potential open spots or is there another thread(or dare I say forum) I should be scouting?

Congrats to those who have theirs secured and good luck to those still hunting.

Pick up the phone and start calling dealers in an expanding circle from your location. You'll score soon enough, the Plandemic has put a dent in new car orders ... even Porsche's.
