I am in the same situation. GTS Cayman (with a vin). Says “manufacturing process is starting soon.” But that was July 1st. No updates since. Estimated delivery Sep. 24 - Dec. 26.

Mine says estimated delivery Sep. 16 - Dec. 26.

I look everyday. Really wish they did not have the August break.

My GTS to this specification fixed today: PSH816X0

Due 1/12/2024 according to the website although the dealer seems to think it will be earlier? I'm sure the spec isn't to everyone's taste but I've spent a while mulling it over and think it's bang on for me on uneven, often wet, potholed UK roads. I intend to keep it until I can't drive anymore.

love the spec. Jan seems a bit pushed out considering where you are located. Those seem more like US delivery dates so maybe it will update as your car gets closer to production.

It's funny that you should mention the August break. I've heard of the August holiday but can't seem to find anything online about Osnabrück's break (or don't know what I am doing as i search). Does anyone know the timeline of the break? My BGTS went into production 7/15 and is scheduled to be completed 8/21. Could the break end be around that time?

It is finally here! Picking up tomorrow, I was definitely very nervous on my color choices but I think it came out great and I am very happy with the black inserts. Now to wait for the PPF and tints! I debated putting on the exhaust/intake/valve controller/ short shifter this week with the shop doing the PPF, but figured I would try the car stock for the first 1000 or so miles. My sales guy ( drives a 992 GT3 and Spyder RS) claims the break in is useless and to have fun from the start.

Hey, please post your experience with the stock vs GT4 shifter, when you change it. I'm also almost sure I'll get it, but want to hear a full testimonial of before & after (all pros and cons) from a forum member. Thank you. And congrats on your new car. Many of us are A LONG WAY from that day. Ha ha.

I definitely will- I am still debating if I should do the install myself or let the dealer handle it- I will talk to the service dep. tmmr about the labor behind it. Will probably install at the same time as my CGT shifter so hopefully that does not skew my experience much, but I doubt it will. I remember absolutely loving the shifting experience in my friends 2020 gt4 3 or so years ago, but that has been a long time. I have what is commonly known as the "best shifter on the planet" for my NB miata which is supposed to be a great experience in itself, so will be nice to compare how they feel. I think it should be a nice upgrade from my A91 MT supra which felt much better than any recent bmw product, but still lacking when compared to cars like the civic type r, s2000, and others.

I wouldn't let a dealer install it even for free, let alone having to pay an arm and a leg. Ha ha. It's a relatively simple job for DIY people; just a little time consuming, to make sure it's done perfectly. In case I lose or ruin any clips, I'd buy them, and put them back. Techs rarely do that, and that could mean future squeaks and/or rattles. Plus I know I'll do it right, and will know my car better. I have 2 videos, and between them I have all the info I need to tackle the job. Let me know if you don't find them, to send you the links.
