Here's a link from Carnewal for the cage:

http://carnewal.com/products/P91GT3/...-Front-Section

€3795

and here for the fire extinguisher:

http://carnewal.com/products/P97/p96...e-Extinguisher

€275

Adds up and I don't know if international shipping is included or separate (I guess it's extra). Schroth harnesses also available. One would have to consider the cost of having a plate put in to mount the bar, but it is factory.

US GOV says no roll bar cause it may kill you but owners put them on for the safety? What am I missing here?

Yep.

Jenner does have a black grey 997.2, seen him in it a few times, never seen him at track but he does drive it proper.

Be nice to see the data on roll bars and why they are against it.

Agree. Info must be available somewhere. My bet is that it has something to do with crash testing requirements plus the possible effects of a roll bar on un-helmeted occupants but I'm just guessing.

I think it said something about unbelted passenger safety! If you are wearing a seatbelt it would be unlikely to bang your head in the roll bar in case of accident! Not sure why Lexan windows are banned?

I can't remember where I read it many years ago, but the issue was discussing how unsafe roll cages are without the use of a helmet. A simple roll bar that sits behind the headrest, seems perfectly safe, but DOT, probably just lumped all cage types together.
