Wow interesting, and here we all thought that Porsche’s midstream production and price changes stopped in the 90’s! Technically majority of the 2011 Spyders were actually built and sold in 2010 as 2011 MY so perhaps anything prior to June/July of 2010 had 2010 prices? Mine is a late 2011 build so it won’t help but hopefully someone has their build sheet or window sticker and can share.

On bringatrailer.com, 2011 Spyder #403 just popped up with a copy of the Monroney sticker shown in the auction photos. This looks to be an early/cheaper 2011 Spyder with interesting price data: Base Price $61,200; Heated Seats $510; Sport Chrono Plus $960; Sport Exhaust $2500. These prices seem to jibe with my msrp reconstruction for my Spyder #248. Other option prices given for #403 seem to be the unchanging ones throughout 2011/2012 production. Of interest, but not relevant to my Spyder's price search, #403 has the Red Natural Leather Interior at $3895 (the most expensive leather option, I believe, except for the Special Cocoa at $?), and the Red Instrument Dial Faces at $690. This is still of no help for my question as to what my Sand Beige Full Leather Interior w/sofa seats were priced at since the usually accepted price of $3655 does not result in the correct final msrp for my car. So I am still on the look out for more 2011 Monroneys for early Spyders.

Curious if there are any Spyder owners in the greater NYC area or NJ. I would love to chat with you about your car.

Curious any smaller steering wheel options out there, is the 7.2 gt3rs wheel same or smaller?

Working on a txn lately, caught off guard that the bank/cu I talked to would only evaluate the car around 40k or so, guess someone in kbb/nada needs to hang out on BAT more often lol

Here’s KBB’s response: Thank you for contacting Kelley Blue Book.
I do apologize for the delay response , Kelley Blue Book establishes vehicle values by calculating using a proprietary tool that accounts for fluctuating market conditions and used car prices that may vary from day to day, like home or stock prices. The calculation includes multiple data sources and is based on factors that affect used car pricing. When submitting forms of the same value the offer amount may change for various reasons such as: supply and demand, historical trends, regional differences, and local market influences.
We welcome all feedback and appreciate the time you took to help make our company stronger in the automotive marketplace. Please be assured, your comment has been forwarded to the proper division for review and will be given prompt attention.
Again, thank you for your feedback. Feel free to contact us at 1-866-851-2285 if you would like to speak with us directly. We’re here to help Monday through Friday, 8am – 8pm and Saturday, 9am – 7pm Eastern Time. Or, you may email Kelley Blue Book Private Seller Customer Support any time at privatesellerhelp@kbb.com
I would encourage others to also submit complaints. I’ll respond with examples of recently sold cars but sadly I can’t offer up any proof of private transactions that I know often happen at higher prices.

Interesting you are having issues. I worked with a local CU and was able to finance 90% (could have been 100%) with a similar sale price. Did the same with my 993 a while back -- 100%. On both they had lower values for the car based on KBB and others. I just showed them recents sales on BAT and that was enough. Smaller the CU, the more they are willing to work with you. Good luck!

Same here. I got a local CU to finance and approve my loan on my 2012 CPO Spyder, although they initially had the appraisal at a low figure. Whatever program the CU used, didn't make any distinction between a Boxster S or a Spyder. They originally wouldn't approve the loan. Even Porsche Financial was wanting a large down payment, for reasons not made entirely clear to me.

KBB works in my favor on two ends though- taxes associated with registration and insurance payments. Right now the Spyder is lower than most of the cars in my fleet. It’s “old” so no matter what you’ll be haggling over it’s worth in the event of a total unless you use agreed value. (Which likely means use restrictions and higher payments too)
