Yeah for some reason that list doesn't break down the cars by LWBs and sofas.

All the LWB cars aren’t listed such, mine included.

maybe its a build sheet discrepancy? I believe it was built off the build sheets that started this whole thread.

I think the build sheets are simply being misinterpreted. These cars had LWBs as standard so I would expect that a build code would be present if the car was optioned with sofas. Maybe someone here with a sofa car can chime to confirm?

At least as far as the Aqua Blue Metallic Spyders go (for whom I have all the Build Sheets), if the "Additional Equipment" section of the Build Sheet does NOT call out "P77 Sport Seats in Leather", then that car came with the LWBs, which were not called out since they were Standard, not Additional. So the presence of LWBs can only be inferred by omission. One clue to the presence of the standard LWBs is in the "Interior" description in the top header of the Build Sheet, where the magic word Alcantara appears, since the LWB centers consisted of Alcantara. It looks like if the order did not specify P77, the car came with LWBs - no third choice, at least amongst the ABMs. I am only referring to the Build Sheets.

Interesting...

Here's a build sheet on a Canadian car that shows: 389 SPORTS BUCKET SEAT, RI

Just one!

Is the actual Porsche Build Sheet for this car available? I am referring to the one page document, box-framed with Porsche logo, with a summary of Additional Equipment for that specific build. That Build Sheet is identified by "Division: PCNA" for the US cars and "Division: PCL" for the Canada cars, and gives the "Commission #" for the car. I have seen these listings of the purported many, many build codes for cars (including all the standard build item codes, some of which made no sense for Spyders), which I have dismissed in the past as being a generic summary - the car's actual build details were superseded by the Porsche Build Sheet document. I am wondering if "389" is just another such spurious code in the generic code listing. Unless some thrifty Canadian special-ordered a Spyder with vinyl-covered LWBs ? The actual Porsche Build Sheet on this car might be illuminating. Just brain-storming here....

Here’s the actual build sheet as supplied by Porsche when a car is ordered. It’s interesting that there are some items that aren’t options listed but LWB are not.

I would assume that this is a LWB car since the "P77 Sports Seats in Leather" extra cost option is not called out. Also the LWBs are implicit in the "Black Full Leather w/Alcantara" where the $3655 charge is due to the specification of Full Leather. The LWB w/o the Full Leather would be specified as "Black Interior w/Alcantara" with no upcharge. It's not unusual for non-options to be called out in the specs: "ROOF" and "V9" show up in every Porsche Build Sheet that I have seen, in the Options or Additional Equipment section. Perhaps for extra special customers there was a no cost option of a topless Spyder .

It appears that LWBS were not an option (maybe this has been stated before), but the default seat supplied. All the pictures in the PDF brochure feature the LWBS and then on page 19 we have this - the Sport Seat shown (as an option?).

My car has LWB. There is no seat code. Maybe it’s the interior code?

It is amazing how different markets had different ways of describing the exact same info in differing detail. Perhaps Porsche had a special Dept. of International Obfuscation. John McM's NZ build sheet has nailed a full description of the standard LWBs, “code 11” - first time I have seen such a full breakdown of the LWB constituents. Also this supports “code 21” being the standard LWBs with the full leather interior option in Spyder_2011’s build sheet (11+10=21, just bring an extra $3655). Never has so much been written about something one just places one’s butt upon.

That "Sports seat" in the brochure looks like a 911 seat (see the adjustment **** on side/bottom of seat). Maybe someone in PR did a cut-and-paste error in creating the brochure?

No that looks, to me at least, exactly like my sports seat (sofa).
