Some up close and personal images from a friend on the ground at Goodwood - looks fantastic in GT Silver with Red Interior. Those carbon pieces really do pop!

I was surprised how good it sounded in person. Might still need aftermarket pipes, but not even sure about that.

Agreed, really beautiful

This car is epic, maximum levels of want. I would take a GT silver with satin black rims. Without the Weissach package, its US$264,000 here in Kuwait. The salesman laughed out loud when I asked for an allocation.

The one in my picture is a Weissach car with the partially painted (stripe) frunk and roof. But what I'm saying is that I'd still want the Weissach car, I'd just want them to omit the stripe so not only is the Frunk clear CF, but then the roof would also be Clear CF. How awesome would that be?! Just like the 918 Weissach's roof is also clear CF.

On the GT2RS the CF is lighter than the Magnesium. Not sure how they got to that, but they did.

The car at the display stand is a mock up model, the NACA duct is not functional, also the water tank is absent.

On the car that ran up the hill and at the paddock, it has functioning ducting and the water tank.

The ducting will be routed through the side plastic trim to cool the brakes.

For aero and cooling reasons, the front openings are all taken by the radiator, they found out that taking air off the hood to cool the brakes has no effect on the aero, , unlike doing it from under the car. The same ducting should appears on the next GT3RS.

As for the water tank, it will be 5 litre in capacity, on a hot day at the Ring, it will last 3 laps. It isn't in use all the time, the ECU will meter it out depending on the intake charge temperature.

Just heard gt2rs and gt3 launching one after another. Gt3 sounded way better in my opinion. I think after seeing and hearing gt2rs I want gt3rs more that the gt2.

I am sure the ring time will be astonishing. Just think about the inferior aero, inferior mechanical grip, and 250 hp shy 911 GTS time. If 250 hp and trick aero bits doesn't buy one 35 secs, I would be disappointed.

And think about how the tuners must be just waiting to crank up the boost in every Turbo S and GTS car.

Another thing to think about, this GT2RS development likely has future motorsports implications. Porsche could easily use this Cars R and D for adding HP to its race cars in the immediate future. Only time will tell

Do they really need to add horsepower to the race cars? Aren't they all restricted anyway? I always thought it was more about how the power was put down with gearing, aero, etc. If you were to talk about adding low end torque with turbos that may be a different story.

Did Dr. Walliser just give a hint of the Ring time of the GT2? He is quoted in a story on the aussie website cardavice.com.au as saying:

“This is the seventh generation of the 911, it’s all about seven – 700 horsepower,” he said. “It’s no seven on the Nurburgring though.”
