Had total brake hydraulic failure on my 4Runner today and was lucky to not cause a wreck... now the NA is my only driving car. Amazes me how it's the oldest car I own and it's always the most reliable and has the fewest issues. Sort of makes me want to replace the 4Runner with one of those shooting brake conversion 944s.

Hi fellas, today I been able to fix the "heat" problem...so nice to ride with fresh air inside...

After a massive restoration on my S2 realized at the forst ride the heater was allways on and here in Spain is way too hot for that... 25ºC...

Found the right info and been able to fix the issue with a "tirewrap"...then went for a spin...

Have a good weekend amigos!!

Glad you were able to keep things under control!

And I'd definitely go for a shooting brake 944 if they weren't so rare/expensive.

The insurance totalled it but I'm doing all repairs on my own all I have left is the hood. I have to prep it for paint

I finished installing the new 20mm rear sway bar on my '88 944S today. I thought I could reuse the original bushings, but they were much too tight (center hole not big enough), so I had to wait for a package from Pelican.

Of course, installation wasn't really complete until after a thorough test drive :-)

Cool. Watch the consumption with 0W-20. I don't use any with 5W-30 in either the H6 or the FA20 but the two liter uses a quart every 3000 when kept in the 5-7k rpm range.

The XT is specced for 0W-30 but I'm going to be running 0W-40 based on the advice of literally every car guy owner ever. Coming from the 944 world, that seems too thin still

Today I pulled my dashboard (not nearly as hard as I expected), ground out the cracks with my Dremel, and started filling them in with this padded dash filler stuff I bought. Basically, it seems to be a slightly soft Bondo, but it looks like it will do the job nicely. Once that's done (probably just one more coat) I'll get to work wrapping the dash in leather. Pics of the finished product to come, of course.

Picked up these
Knowing what they are..these seats rise an emotion in my heart.

They aren't perfect and they need to seat a bit after getting some use...but they are pretty damn beautiful.

A fellow XT owner. Finally someone with decent taste around here! 0w40 M1, German Castrol, or rotella T6 are all good oils for the EJ255. Depending on the mileage and oil change interval do watch your oil level. Great little engines and the cars are dead reliable. My modded 04 has 170k and has been running 19.5 psi vf43 since 60k miles.
