What did you do to your 924/944 today

Finally have everything I need to re-install the head - was waiting on the headers - 321 SS SFR.
Just waiting on a second set of hands to help guide everything into place - I'd hate the gouge up the head on a stud.

Removed rust from the battery tray.. Thankfully only surface rust. Been missing the plastic piece that closes off the battery area from the elements and never got around to getting one. Also bought new CV boots and a new Interstate battery to replace my hammered Napa one.

Picked up the GT seats bases from the upholsterer to take them to get sandblasted and repainted.
Used the 931 to do that, stopped on the side of the road for a few shots with them yellow flowers.

I was easily able to install the head w/ headers loosely installed. I had more trouble removing the stock headers attached and had to unbolt the engine mount and lift the engine a bit for clearance.
Found this handy little tool buried in a drawer - makes it easy to do the 90° torque schedule.
Took a few tries to get the cam tower onto the head without the lifters falling out.

Thank you, i'm sorry I did not have my DSLR with me and had to shoot with my iPhone.
Drove it yesterday for a barbeque about 50km round trip, today just for a coffee and some food shopping.
Tomorrow will drive the 931 to the mountains nearby a 300km round trip.
No oil leaking anymore from the oil cap, cam seal or head cover seals, fresh belts and alternator 3D printed bushings as well as a new water pump make for a silent engine and pleasant to look at 931 engine bay.

tip for sway bars for future reference, if you didnt know already...
jack up the car and put blocks under the tires and set it back down again on top of the blocks.
now you have working room and the car weight is on the tires and all the swaybar points line right up.
alternatively it makes life easier to use your floor jack to push on the sway bar at various points to get things to line up too.

...for my own update, i actually did something to my 944 yesterday.
i finished my cam-tower reseal (old gasket lasted from 2006 up until about 2 weeks ago), drove it around the block, and washed the car for the first time since at least july...

It's actually sitting on a four post lift. Still was a pain lining the bracket holes up. Maybe it's just mine.
