Today was my yearly spring clean of the 997,s radiators and the removal of the cars under body panels to clean out the small stones , leaves and other crap that finds its way in these areas ,,,my car only had a small amount of crap trapped in these area,s this year and only took a few hours to remove all the panels and check her over ,,,I am sure you can relate to the rubbish and debris that manages to find its way in

Plan was to change air filters and S belt. First time attempting it. When I got the air box pulled I see this:

I don't see how guys have gotten in there to do this themselves. Looks like my Indy will get the nod for this job. Later I saw a you tube video of a German dude doing it. Looks like a PITA.

So changed air filters and cabin filter. Made best of it and detailed the air box that was filthy.

Installed new Hawks ceramic brake pads all around. Very easy DIY. My Quickjack really made it go easier than a jack. Highly recommend getting a guide pin for installing the wheels. Really helped. Job even easier than on my 86 (2 pins per caliper on 86 vs one on 997.2). Bed them in and they feel good. Nice initial bite. Good stopping power. Hoping for less brake dust.

Was wondering what a 997 with lettering on tires facing out would look like.
I think it looks great! gives it that edge, nice job.

Looks great on the lobster forks! I've been rocking the white letters for several months now.
