Best i've got on offer is 225/45/17 and 255/40/17 in a Falkan RT615k and thats for 7 and 8 in rims. The 225 worries me most as while some recommend it i think its to big for the 7 in wheel. It will, not doubt, rub Standard size tires are 205/50/17 and 255/40/17 I could move to a more road oriented tire but frankly thats not going to offer me any more advantage than what i already have I've been offered a set of second hand, light, Enkei RC5 7.5 and 9 in in a perfect fitment but they are quite pricey and i don't think avail before the weekend. No other wheels have come up.
I feel for you. If it helps I have used the 225/45/17 on 7" Fuchs with no issues.

Ditto with my 993 - I wouldn't lose sleep over it.

Thanks fellas. I was venting a little. I spent a better part of my day on the phone and was frustrated to not get a result

So with Warwick taking my seats off my hands I ordered another set with the stitching in the colour I wanted as I've got more ideas floating around.
Went for black covers again with suede inserts but here's the thing, since I'm doing a backdate I found this really cool tartan cloth which I think i'll re cover the inserts in for that retro throwback.
By the way I have a 2nd standard set coming as well if anyone else wants some, coming by container so not due for a few months.

Just checked under the house. I have 3 rear 221 and one front. Plus two front 214. No wheels though and not sure how mixing 221 and 214 would go. They would stick like doodads to a blanket.

I like the red to the right.

McMillan tartan is pretty ugly. Only the hunting tartan would be even half reasonable in a car however I'll leave you to the idea as you got there first

Btw here's the bypass.

I have 2 front and 2 rear - one side is corded but the other side has some legs. Free to a good home if you wanted to test them Warwick.

Based on the WOF experience for the Cayenne I'm expecting CCS to be more pedantic than previously for Herman so I'm going to refit the primary muffler for the test. I have a muffler but no fixing straps. If someone has some lying around unused for a couple of weeks please sing out.

Rediculous!
Do people/dealers still think the New Zealand market is comparable to the U.K?
A bit like that 2009 GT2 for $359,990 on trademe back in early November.

A question for the Porsche club boffins...
I haven't seen any 996 or 997 GT2/3s for sale on Trademe since the beginning of the year.
I'm still on the hunt but nothing has popped up.
Has nothing sold or are they all changing hands off the market both privately and through Contis and Giltrap?

I expect those that have (if any) changed hands have done so offline. Given the limited numbers this shouldn't be a surprise. There's always a 997 Turbo - relatively easy to convert to a lightweight RWD if that's the appeal of the GT2.

Would you consider a left hand drive car? There are a few GT3 (including a 997 RS) in this weeks auctions in Japan. One with a start bid of NZD$70k.

Noticed that JZM have both a 996 & 997 GT2 listed. Interesting to see the 996 asking a higher price: http://www.jzmporsche.com/porsche-for-sale/911/2
They have an exceptional list of cars for sale currently.

You could always change direction and pick up Mjølner instead: http://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/281877623355

I live in London and JZM are 5 minutes up the road from the studios I work at.

They have lovely stock but I really would like an NZ new car for Auckland. I can't really justify spending the equivalent of $180,000 NZD on a 997 GT3 in the U.K plus the shipping etc to NZ when I relocate back in a year or two.

The last advertised 997 GT3 in New Zealand was January, 19300km, Grey (from memory), in Christchurch. Asking price was $126,000.

Im guessing if any have changed hands recently it would have been for ~ $150,000?
Surely some of you lot that are deep in the scene will know of some that have moved this year?
