whoa. I must have been asleep. I missed the discussion on windscreen banner. Is there a design already done? and any flexibility on other colour combos?

$31.44 each. Quote I have is for 25 of one colour combo. Seeing what the price is to do other combos.
As you can see they have left a large blank space above the text this is to allow for the curve of the windscreen that will get cut off. It goes without saying but covers my butt if written here. I'm only posting to help you visualise the layout. Please don't distribute further or use for other purposes.

One thing that Steve mentioned to me recently -- and may come up on Saturday -- was the idea of everyone chipping in a little to cover the garage + food costs on the HD days. He's been very generous with this so far, but these things don't come for free (I think the pit sheds are $150). If everyone who attended put in $15-$20 then this would be quite sufficient I think, and it's not a big amount in relation to the overall cost of the day (i.e. entrance fee + petrol + maintenance).
An alternative he mentioned was some kind of annual fee for membership of RG. Personally this seems a bit too formal and high maintenance at this stage, and may put off new members, but I'd be interested in feedback on this.
(I'm away for the weekend so won't be at the meeting.)

Just registered for the driver training -- figure I can use all the help I can get!
I suggest to anyone who's thinking about it to get in quick: the events spreadsheet (updated today, but probably a little out of date) shows 22 registered already.

Peter and I spoke today with Steve and he'll try to make it up. There are some points of discussion that developed. Be good to get the groups views on things. Before the drinking becomes heavy of course!
An annual membership could be the cleanest way of dealing with the slush fund. Possibly a bit formal but a whole load less headaches on an event by event basis.
Scaring away newbies is the least of our worries right now. If $150 a year or something scares them off then Motoracing isn't for them LOL!
I agree however that the time might not be right for a formal membership situation just yet. That being said the group needs to dig deep to keep going over winter. Maybe something not track related like a weekend run with a nice boutique lodge stay to keep the missus happy (kids stay with grandparents for the weekend) or a 500+km back road marathon (I have a good North-land route from the Cannonball Run in 2011).
