Pete you normally alternate with these don't you? haha
Damn - wonder if they'd take a Cayman - cash my way...

Where is it advertised - not on TM? I'd heard it was coming but thought at a silly price.

Price will be the $64M question?

Are we taking bets?

It should be around $60K - but likely to be hanging out for UK or Aussie money, so may be thinking more like $75K + ??

Will be an interesting test of the market as there is a bit of a glut of goods cars, but 964 C2's are the flavour of the month??

Pete - it's on Air Cooled FB page.

Pete isn't on FB.

I hope the market is strong for the car but at 200,000 km it will need to have had some work done to justify a strong price. Mind you that assumes that people know what they are looking at.

It's Vincent's car. He also had that left hook ex German 64 that went offshore.

I had a chat to him last week about it. I believe it will go to auction which is a strategy I like.

Agree, I'm willing to take a punt here and started the bidding. Personally I think it would still be an exportable car if it goes above $60,000. I must check if ex UK cars have special return rights if they were tax paid when they were exported.

200km albeit with a top end - I'd say NZ market is at $55k. Looks like it's pretty stock so all the usual $ to spend underneath.

Market above that would have to be Oz or UK - couldn't even start to guess where value is there.

Recently had dealings with UK customs on a vehicle and there is no concession on duty for cars exported and then reimported unless reg is on hold ( called a SORN) and still live in UK .
20% vat to pay on this , 15% on cars 30-50 years old , 5 % on vehicles over 50 years old or of historic interest and only handful built.

Will be very interested to see where it goes price wise and geographically .
