Porsche p1 & p2 after qualifying at WEC Silverstone last night. Car #17 0.6 second ahead of #18. Hartley with the fastest qualifying lap. Porsche have had a great off season and terrific one lap pace. Lets see how they get on in the race tonight

If money is the issue, try and bag that other R before Pete finds it

A couple of posts From PH.

Coming from a 997.1 GT3 how do you find the R in comparison? I'm starting to get to the point that my 997GT3 is starting to look like a very large lump of money to be sat in the garage and thinking about an R as a cheaper alternative.

I've posted a few times on this subject . I do really like the R's. A great balance of power, handling and size. I went 997.1 GT3 to a white R, then to my 991 GT3 and now back to another R. My view is 90% GT3 for 30% money and in someways it's actually more fun for road use. I love GT3's and I love R's . R's just happen to be way more affordable.

I missed my chance for a collect this morning. Forgot to grab a tea bag at the cafe.

Was a great drive, just what Sunday morning called for.

that is an awesome quali drive from Hartley. Just goes to show he probably did have the pace for F1.

Nice drive to Raglan and back. Thanks Steve and Mandy for coming over in a 964 to join us. We had Dave B, Chris M, Paul, and myself. Nice roads, fine weather.

I was trying to get a bit of debate going about which series of 911 was the best looker out of these two. Tough choice

Not a lot between those two. Add Cup 1's to Lola and it becomes even closer. Suspect less about how they look and more about how they feel - the big differences are under the skin - engine/box/susp.

Yeah, there is that side to it as well. The SC is my favourite 911 so far, and also the slowest.....The two things that stick out the most is the lively front end and the sweet 915 gear box.

I was feeling seedy when the alarm went off at 6.00am.

I had the best hang-over cure food for breakfast (gas station steak'n'cheese pie) - don't know what it is, but they work well.............

Washed down with a can of red bull or V - there is no substitute! Caltex Penrose for the S&C pie win (or Caltex Hillcrest if you're in the 'tron)

Default Missed the run

If I hadn't been traveling I would have been there. Full marks to Paul for playing up and showing up.

Roll on the Arrive and Drive. I've been perfecting my LFB on GT6. I may try a few laps in Herman with that but the R is the prize there. A pity you won't be there Pete.

You wait to you have to follow Macca in a 991 GT3 (or a 993) - he has a reputation of making his co-pilots puke....
