If someone wants to enjoy their PCA experience, try to get along with people, try to avoid interacting with disagreeable people, and don't overreact every time someone is mean to you. And if you're asked to provide CPAP data by a medical committee, for the purpose of medical clearance in order to renew your racing license, give them the data.
I believe society can be better than that.

I also know that I’m in the minority with that mindset.

Maybe I just don’t want to live a cynical life.

That's a pretty pessimistic outlook. And I would say that it's not inevitable.

It's not cynical or pessimistic, it's pragmatic. I enjoy my involvement in PCA, and have not allowed interactions with some disagreeable people to ruin the experience and make me walk away (or get kicked out). Those volunteers in leadership positions are not the face of PCA. The many people you enjoy hanging out with at PCA events are the faces of PCA that matter.

Any side wagers whether they'll even renew his membership?
He's already on double-secret probation....

Sure seems extremely unlikely...

I’m gonna step out on a limb here and say that Todd is going to apply for his license and he’s going to get it. Then he’s going to rip it in half right in front of them and never race with PCA again.

Any takers?

Ideally, everybody shakes hands and Todd gets his license back, and he races with PCA forever going forward, and this thread never gets brought up again. Ideally.

You forgot to start with "once upon a time" and end with "And they lived happily ever after."

My take... Not that it matters... I like racing. I like the paperwork process only slightly more than I do the dentist. I really don't like when someone asks about my medical information, unless i"m putting it out there for the world. But, I like racing alot more than I hate "compliance" with minutia. I would have bitched and complained to PCA CR about it, and not taken it to the public. I'd have done that or been done with PCA (and I've done this before) and gone elsewhere to fulfill my car needs.

PCA (Not CR so much) has a cliquish vibe and you're either in or you're a paying customer that I feel they don't care about. You can complain to them about whatever the issue is, and they will hide behind "liability insurance" or "safety standards" or some other excuse to get you to go away. My stance has and always will be "Vote with your wallet" and "Go where you are celebrated". If I don't feel my participation is welcome I will happily go to a space/place with people who enjoy my brand of tea. Maybe LV will take this approach.

I love the brand, the culture and the "vibe" of Porsche and the older, the better. I'm not interested in jumping through hoops for the sake of "That's how we've always done it". But I'm also not interested in making a stand and being made an example of for something that could easily have been avoided, although clearly questionable as to "Why" they need the data. I have atleast one friend who can't race with NASA for similar reasons. They demanded something from his cardiologist, he gave it, they asked for something more detailed and he said "no." He hasn't raced with NASA in over a decade over something he could have provided, but chose not to on principle. Where do most of his friends race? PCA and NASA. Go figure.

LV go where you are celebrated and never look back.
Mike

Some clubs designate an "X" on some driver's cars. Maybe Todd comes back and has to wear an "X". He will be known as Racer X mysterious racer championing good against evil, protecting others against snake oiler and captain terror who would do harm to others on track.

They put an X on my car when I first started racing. I always thought it was for another reason, but perhaps it was a sign of oppression.

Assuming they let him back...
Instead of an X, probably should be 'ZZZ'.
He could easily have fallen asleep...

Maybe someone could learn from the way FIA exhibits transpancy ?

Just a thought.
