I'm thinking that given how Kmag drives, and especially of late, the rest of the field should be able to impede and do whatever they want to him without penalty.

Don't think I've seen this mentioned yet (could have missed it) but I sure prefer Croftie's replacement... much less excitable and easier to listen to. Of course I'd still prefer Varsha, Hobbs, and Matchett but then that dates me...

The Imola race was entertaining. I was pulling for Lando to catch Max.

I thought it was kind of a boring race until the end when it looked like Lando might catch Max.

Stick a fork in Perez.

Yeah snooze fest until about lap 58.

I'll also add, Miami Friday/Saturday was much more entertaining than Imola Friday/Saturday.... 🍿

Ricci too, unfortunately. Unless his sole purpose on the team was to light a fire under Tsunoda's ***.
He just seems like a decent guy. Big fan, however 'low-brow' that makes me.

Agreed. Also add how Sargent can even have a ride blows my mind. Just bring up a young driver for the rest of the season to get some laps. Dude is horrible.

I am as well and have always followed him (RIC) from team to team and never cared about the other driver on the team. But then again there are all kinds of "low brow" fans in other sports like all the ones that follow Shaq, LeFlop and Brady and not the teams they played for. Off to drink a "low brow" Blanton's, cheers.

Try a Low-n-Brow.
It's a nice German import.

I can guarantee one driver who wouldn’t be offered the 2nd Red Bull seat, and that’s Lando, at least whilst Max is there!

The new broadcaster in for Crofty, Mr. Benjamin, did a fine job. Not too excitable and solid.

As others have said, kind of a boring start to a race that has always seen SCs but zero today.

It’s pretty clear that since Miami the McLaren is the fastest car on track and Lando was coming hard. The Red Bull looks like a handful to drive and if Max wasn’t such a brilliant pilot, who knows where they would be, especially compared to Checo’s pace the past couple races. It’s a long season and Max will be pushed all the way to the end IMO.

WTFs the deal with Mercedes pitting RUS from 6th to finish 7th and lucky to get fastest lap given ALO went to softs at the end??? When is RUS going to grow some ***** and tell the team this is mine now, I’m team leader and the golden boy is leaving? Toto being Toto again. George questioning the move on radio and being screwed over needs to be addressed post race.

Spoke to my friend who lives in Portugal and went to todays race and said it was an amazing experience. The track is in this small quaint village where no one would ever think of putting a track today. Farm/Apartment houses with little old ladies putting their laundry up on clothes lines on the side of the track, a small.vineyard adjacent to the track, real race fans not interested in fake marinas, Instagram posing and no price gouging like $185 nachos in Miami or Vegas - just pure racing.

In case anyone missed it, Max and his team also won the virtual 24 Hour Nurburgring sim race this weekend.

It's a real race track.
Looks like it'd be a gas to drive, but maybe a bit small for the current crop of F1 behemoths?
Some nice clean racing, and an actual challenge for the win!
Maybe the season isn't a forgone conclusion after all.

I could understand Mecedes' call with Russell. He 'took one for the team', giving up his place to Hammy but securing the fastest lap. His loss, but net team gain.

On to Monaco. Definitely too small for these giants.

Id love to drive that track! Given how everyone was “struggling” to stay on track, it’s a real challenge.

It would have made more sense to pit HAM for new boots and still had the 6,7 finishing order, and fast lap point instead of a returning driver for 2025 question why they screwed him over for finishing position when LH could have done the same thing. I’ve yet to hear any reasonable explanation on why it was done and SKY didn’t really broach the subject in depth.
