As many of you know my red CGT was recently fully serviced, I was offered $850,000 for the car after completion.
I didn't sell nor would I even at 1M.
a) The car is not be replaceable
b) Bet your *** a large portion of the money you think you've made was actually made by your government and they will be waiting for their handout.
The unrealized gain and my immense passion for the car clearly outweigh selling her, but that's just me

My sediments exactly!
The next car up would be pushing $2 million like a F 40-50 - or why not a F1 at 8 million

Wow prices have rocketed in the US the last 3 months! Crazy.
I was hoping to sell mine here and buy one in the US for 30-40% less which now looks impossible!
Anyone have any experience in IMPORTING a GT to the US?
So far all i know is i have to pay 2.5% Import duty as it's an EU car not sold in the USA originally and then have to bring it into conformity with US vehicles...can't imagine that's going to be cheap - new bumpers with reflectors, emmissions and god knows what else?

Always heard 1M - but would really like more info if anyone has good information.
I don't mean to tease the 918 guys ... too much but a private FB page because of value is humorous especially if / when the CGT prices blow by the 918.
F1 - P1 scenario who knows.

At that time the 918 was 900k with taxes let's call it 1m.
Both buyers know how to handle money so let's say 8%.
918 guys are out 40k more per year let alone higher insurance personal property etc closer to 50k. 918 guys can flip but there is a heavy associated cost plus who does all this work for a flip - easy come easy go type of money.
CGT near 100% ROI and shops have the car dialed in for issues. The 918 is far from being dialed in so add that PIA factor.
My .02 dollar for dollar when the 918 was offered vs the CGT it has easily passed the 918 - if one disagrees it's simple two have bought to CGT's and double the math.
Congrats to those here who did the BOGO vs the 918

Reminds me when I had a Mclaren - the owners had an owners forum to hide all the issues. Difference is the 918 is appreciating but I do find it interesting Whoopsy was the only one to tell the good and bad.
