This will depend on the actual shade and relative desirability of the PTS color.

There are some PTS colors that are quite similar to standard shades, such as the cars finished in Giallo Modena (similar to Fayence yellow) or Rosso Scuderia (similar to Guards Red) and their relative premium is more modest. Some of the more unique shades carry a slightly larger premium, such as the Arancio Borealis car that sold last summer in Monterrey. IMO, the price for the orange car was somewhat diminished due to it being a Lamborghini color - albeit, a stunning one - and an even higher price might be achieved by a unique, one-off classic Porsche color.

Reconditioning? Or recommissioning as in by the Factory like the Oak Green one? Either way, can you share any details?

Precisely.

The Arancio Borealis car had other issues, too.

I might have put a bid on the car but it being a Canadian car was a no-go for me. Feels a bit high given the miles and location, at least for me.

^^^I thought it was right on target. I don't think driver example CGTs are getting cheaper. The demand is coming from buyers looking for best entry price they can get on a relatively good example. If anything it's a theme that is playing out throughout the car market right now. There's still decent demand coming from driving enthusiasts. The collector bid has evaporated as the market has gone stagnant at best. Buyers wanna buy stuff they can drive these days more than look for unicorns to add to portfolio. You can add me to that list. That trend will reverse at some point when the car mkt gets hot again but we are likely a long way from that happening again.

Well said and I am right there with you 'buyers wanna buy stuff they can drive'. Thanks to the speculators being on hiatus, this is a good time to be a buyer.

I think this is true for the Carrera GT, but this car is an outlier versus the rest of the market at present.

In the greater classic car and modern classic car market, driver examples of most models have gone through a correction whilst "best-of-the-best" examples have remained steady or even continued to climb.

Ultimately this speaks extremely well to the CGT's ownership experience, to see that the "drivers" haven't yet felt that the car's values have outpaced the experience the car provides.

I'm sure you see a much more diverse swatch of the market. The people I know in the hobby want to rid themselves of cars they have "collected" and simplify down to cars they will use. And w/in the segment of the car market I'm involved in, I've seen premiums melt for low mileage, rare color and other scarcity qualities. But you do this for a living. Chances are I'm just surrounded by like minded people.
