Can someone chime in if you are ordering from a different source or have gone thru the same issue.

Thanks in advance.
Order from china, ships from hong kong and it takes less than a week. There should be no import tax

TBH its not that noticeable in a 911 which is much louder than a Panamera

edit: i see from your profile you also have a 991.1, I wouldn't worry about it not worth the upgrade if my board wasn't broken

Anyone have an idea about the wifi password that's required to reconnect to this board? My garage is attached to my home and while using my phone with my home router, the cars wifi was constantly hijacking my home wifi. So I used the "forget this wifi" to mitigate that issue. Thought it would just reconnect when it rediscovered it when in the car. However it now needs a password. I also want to ask, is this wifi "phoning home" to somewhere across the globe? Any ideas on these two issues?

Also, has anyone modified the glovebox USB and connected it to the Isudar USB dongle vs the PCM?

Thank you for the info. For a minute suspected I was doing something incorrectly. Order placed. Now the waiting game start. LOL.

These days a hardware revision could mean little more than a redesign to support whatever chips happen to be available.

Yes, exactly - hmm, ok - I hoped that there is a significantly higher quality with the new chip. But Maybe it is only due to chip availebility like @amphicar770 wrote.
Thanks for the update anyway!

BTW: I have here a still working discount code:

After the firmware update all my issues are gone, I don't think I will be updating anything soon because everything works just fine

@Fantasmos when you say all your issues are gone, which ones? I want to make sure I check on those in my system.

I still have the annoying return button behavior in steering wheel controlling the Apple CarPlay. And the calls going on-hold when pressing steering wheel phone button to receive calls when phone is paired with PCM…. No resolution for those yet.

I have the sport wheel and none of these problems. Sound is good, always in sync, unit shuts down and doesn’t crash, feels faster to operate, etc. I can’t complain from anything at the moment.

Got it! Yes, for me, unless they fixed the steering wheel issues with the new hardware (which I doubt) there is no reason to buy new version either…

Thanks.

I plan to buy this for my Cayenne. I use my XM/Sirius daily. Do I need to get any stand-offs due to the XM board? Am I good to go with everything it comes with then?

I recommend you buy a set and have it available. You may need to find the appropriate combination of standoffs with the appropriate height to clear the board.

Sorry but I am pretty good with most things but when you say appropriate height, what do you mean? @Santirx

When I installed mine, I had to use 2 standoffs per location to clear the XM Radio board. I used the ones provided by Isudar, but on top of that I used a slightly shorter one. It allowed me to clear the XM board without sticking out too much so that it would not collide with the CD player. In the photo (circled in yellow) you can see the standoffs (one on top of the other). The one on the top is slightly shorter than the one below. The standoff kit have different sizes and it provides more flexibility. That’s why I recommended it. Of course, you can do it with two same size standoffs (maybe will work OK).
