Is the T6PTG3 "worth it" if only coding a 997.2, will it accelerate VAL? Gathering my information before I ask @rnlst_log for a setup.

Yes, by orders of magnitude, lastly it has siberian's "Good Housekeeping" seal of approval.

Hi
New to Porsche, trying to figure out how to get a PIWIS 3 running asap as I have a few codes I need to clear (engine won't start)
I understand that there are two ways of running PIWIS:
1 buying an old computer with Windows XP, 8 or 10 and installing the PIWIS software
2 installing a virtual machine and running a virtual machine install of the PIWIS software
I have been trying the second for the last few days and I give up: I get errors and black screens no matter the settings of the VM in two different laptops
I'd like to try the second, but I cannot find anywhere the raw software, only the one for VM. If anyone could share a link to download, I'd appreciate it

Option 1 but not XP or 8, go for at least Win10, plenty of cheap ones available on eBay. Some folks have gotten it to work on VM just depends on how much time you have to put into the project. GL

Thanks siberian
after spending several days, many ahours a day in front of the computer trying to make the VM work, I give up
Is option 2 (direct install in a Windows 10 old computer) not a good idea?

Hello
I have a 2022 Taycan with a broken charger
At Porsche they ask me for a small fortune to replace
I can replace it but the manual says I have to teach it
How can I do this?
With what version of piwis?
With a vas 6154 clone?
Pedro

Are any of these VCI adapters compatible with a Taycan or the new third gen Panamera?

I hope there is someone here who could be so kind to help me out.
I have a PIWIS, but am new to using it. (PIWIS 4, 42.300).
Had to replace the Rear Control Unit in my 2012 987.2 Boxster S. (The one under the seat)
I understand I can ‘code’ the replacement control unit to the car using PIWIS.
Is there anyone here who has done that and who could walk me through how to do that?
