Glad to see more opinions outside of Vice President of GT350 marketing, Para82. I am seriously considering one of these, but won't pay a premium and am also considering used cars in the same general price level. I can wait for the 17's as I'm not in any hurry, so we'll see what happens. I definitely was not impressed with the fit and finish (other than the seat) when sitting in the car, but understand the money was better spent elsewhere to keep at its pricepoint.
Almost relieved to see its not all cotton-candy and butterflies that the press make it out to be.

There is a massive weight difference between the GT4, and the GT350 with the Track Pack. Car & Driver (they do weigh the cars) lists the GT4 at 3050 Lbs, and the GT350 with the Track Pack at 3790 Lbs. That is a difference of 740 Lbs. You have to slow that extra weight down, and corner with all that weight. The 0-150 MPH time is 22.9 seconds for the GT4 vs. 22.1 seconds for the GT350. Nevertheless, for under $57K, the GT350 with the Track Pack is a bargain.

In the real world, GT4 will pull away off of every turn because it comes out of the corner at higher speed with better grip. I couldn't catch the GT4 with the GT350 on the straight.
I seriously don't understand how GT350 can win the PCOTY against GT4. That's straight up BS. I think the best PCOTY review was with EVO magazine. It's a pricey magazine, but worth every penny. Keeps me entertained when I go #2.

But no body likes Americans anywhere besides America. We're loud, obnoxious, entitled, ignorant and self-important people that may vote Trump as our President. Of course, not all Americans are like that, but I think that's the general consensus of Americans overseas.

Broad generalization, i've worked with Brits, Italians, Polish, and even French who love Americans. The educated citizens understand a little history. We may not sound as cool as the brits but if it wasn't for us cool Britain would be speaking 3rd Reich and everyone knows it.

Thought I'd throw that in there.

I compare the gt350 against other 4 seat cars in the same price range.
Can't really find anything else that excites me in that price range. M3 is out of the picture. Last good one is e46!
To compare it with a $90k mid engine gt4 is not fair.
I hope it will be ok as a DD and can manage a couple of sessions at Sebring every now and then. I would never sell my 996gt3 track car for it, but it's fun with a bit of variation in this hobby.
