Waxer - this would look good next to your Boss302S....
They also said Ford Performance built the Shelby GTE, which was built by Shelby American. Poor journalism.

I think that blogger made an intellectual leap to FPC that is not really borne out by facts. This is a Ford Performance product, built from the FP parts bin, starting with a S550 body-in-white, by Watson and/or Multimatic, in all likelihood. Several people on the floor at PRI talking to the FP engineers confirmed that it is using a development of the Coyote Aluminator XS engine with a cross-plane crank: http://performance.ford.com/enthusia...te-engine.html.

FP has not and probably will not ever offer the Voodoo FPC engine in their catalog. It has been reserved for the production GT350 vehicles only. How are race teams/owners of the FP350S going to get replacement engines when they need them if they aren't available in a crate from FP? It only makes sense that they use the closest engine available in the parts bin, the Aluminator XS, which could easily be massaged to 8,250 redline and 570 HP.

That's my $.02 and would like to hear any factual info otherwise. It seems strange that the press release and all current info available says nothing about Voodoo engine or flat-plane crank for this car, when it has been such a publicity plank of the GT350 marketing.

TA3 for Trans Am and AIX American Iron.

The Aluminator is a Boss 302 with Cobra Jet Intake and tune and 5.2 heads I believe.

was a little more difficult than that....as I too thought it would be that easy. I had a friend call around to all of the performance part dealers, and almost all said, they didnt even know how to place the order for it yet nor did they know it was available....but, finally, an allocation was given. Still no final price yet.

Flood Ford in East Greenwich, RI just received a black on black GT350R if anybody cares. Don't be fooled by the MSRP on the listing. They're looking for a 50% premium.

I have a few noise questions.

Does anyone have significant squeaking that sounds like it's coming from the rear underside of the car? It's not speed dependent, and it's present even on fairly smooth roads. With the exhaust on, it's harder to hear, but with the exhaust closed, it very audible.

Also, anyone have a small rattle that appears to come from the seat belt retractor?

Anyone with these noises had luck getting rid of them?

In over 14,000 miles on my GT350 Track Pack I have not had any squeeks or rattles in this car. I would bring it into the dealer while it's under warranty and see if you can get it resolved, hopefully something simple.

I figure I'll have the dealer look at it when I go in for the oil cooler line recall work (next month?). I'm hoping someone else has already ran into the squeaking issue and successfully gotten it resolved, so I don't have to rely on the dealer to find it. Maybe I'm not giving them enough credit.

I got a call today from a dealer in charlotte offering 2500 off sticker for a gt350. I wonder when we will see rebates. 600 plus cars sitting and many more on the way.
