it will be interesting to see how it compares to the Porsche School in Alabama
Nice!

Would be cool to see a picture of that green GT3 next to your new GT350...

Are people still thinking 2017 is last year of production for the R? If that is the case - when would you expect the last configurable orders to close?

Is it expected there will be a 2018 run for the non-R? Sorry my head is spinning a bit having read all this.

Would love for people to keep posting pricing info they see / hear.
Will be a 2018 year. Only changes from 2017 is supposed to be colors which haven't been announced yet

Might be too late to get a configurable R order allocation for 2017, those were even tough to get several months ago. But the GT350 & GT350R will continue unchanged (except colors) for 2018. So you've got a better chance at a configurable order allocation for 2018, especially if you want an R.

Thanks guys.

I like how they only slipped that "R" in the third last paragraph.

I'm actually in no hurry to purchase, so happy to wait a while and see if prices do pull back a little. Any advice on strategy if one can wait a while?

I have limited space and afraid the wife will say the '67 mustang will have to go!

While I see all the pros of the R (value of the extra goodies, the extra tuning that went into it, likely to hold value better in the future), I'm not a track junkie and so it would likely not see the track on a frequent basis. Plus the kids were none too happy when I picked up the Spyder with only two seats . So maybe the non-R should be the angle I pursue. Sounds like I have some time to figure that out though.

No, absolutely not! You can get a non-R for MSRP or even below.

15's were very limited production. Somebody is hoping to cash in on a garage queen in 50 years.

Yes Non R's are available for MSRP, maybe less if you believe interwebs stories, you might need to travel depending on you location.

They're picking back up again from what I can tell.....winter dip is ending.

I ordered one for MSRP built to spec almost 2 years ago, just not common even now but yes it is possible.

2016 R $102k
Makes sense.

The only reason that 2015 went for that kind of money is because A) first year of production and B) extremely limited production count compared to both the 2016 and 2017. Obviously someone wanted it badly for their collection and hoping to profit in a decade or two.

When I picked up my R, the "big guy" in Dearborn told me that they were break-even at best on the R. So don't expect many of them to be produced.

A lot of people want them badly for their collection. What you've got here is one of the most iconic sports coupes in automotive history. It also has the world's largest flat plane crank engine with intake and exhaust ports that flow better than Ferrari's 458.

Are those asking prices or sold at prices?
