Hoosier tires. Their logo is purple and they are as addictive as crack if lap times are important to you.

Does anyone know the name of the 4 point belt system that is being used at the racing school in Utah?

I have not been to the Ford Performance Racing School yet but I believe I saw in a post on mustang6g.com that they were using the following;

I would give them a call, they're extremely helpful on the phone about the car and can also give you some insight on other areas since they have tracked these cars probably more than anyone. I spoke with them a couple months ago and they were very helpful.

I know they are not Schroth, I will try to call but I was thinking they may not be there this time of year. If I do get them on the phone I will ask them if their oil fittings have been fixed.

I'm 97% sure it's Watson Racing that sets up all of Ford's track cars with harness etc. Interested to hear what they say. Also they mentioned to me if I wanted tires/brakes for a GT350 they can beat any vendor - they were even able to beat Tire Rack on MPSS.

I know Ford in Michigan shuts down for the holidays on or around 19Dec and resumes production 3Jan.

Sept. I was at Shelby in Vegas before going to Utah and they had several Ford racing GT350's they were working on but would not say what they were doing. It will be along time before I need MPSS tires, I am leaning toward Hoosiers for track.

Para,

Only drove the gt350 for one session last weekend at RA.
My first time at RA so just tried to get comfortable in my 996gt3.
The R888R are just as noisy as the old R888 on the road back and forth to RA. I spent 1000miles listening to the helicopter sound.

Car felt very impressive first time on track. Brakes are amazing even with stock pads. Power is obviously way up from my old gt3.

Hopefully someone else can shine in about different tire options for you. There was quite a few gt350 on track. One very well set up gt350R.

I'll take it on Sebring when I get the chance. Always a bit overwhelming first time on new track. But, RA is very rewarding and fun.

How did you like Turn 12? I always feel like i'm falling off a cliff coming around that one.

I asked a friend of mine who instructs at Porsche Experience Atlanta and he said the Poteza RE 71R tire is a 1 lap wonder - good for autocross but fades real quick.

I'm told by others with experience the Toyo's will heat cycle out much faster than the Potenza. Trying to figure out the best street/track tire...still undecided.

Turn 12 is great. Had two semi scary incidents there. Took a point by coming out of 10b and passed on the inside over the crest and into 12. And once didn't get the car to apex so it got a little loose.

R888R sucks as street tires. I DD the gt350 so not an option to only have one set of wheels. Just heading out to wash it and install the need4speed R knockoffs and my Supersports. Lovely street tire.

I personally always try to have 2 sets of wheels for my cars.

I made it through 96 pages of this thread so far and I'm starting to look for a used 2016 Track Pack car. I'm finding many of the ads, especially from dealers, don't list the options on the car. Not sure if this is because they don't know what they have or don't have the original window sticker etc.

Is there a way to determine what package the 2016's have using the VIN number? I see most start with 1FAGP8JZ_Gxxxxx in the underline position I see different numbers 1-9. I saw a 2016 GT350R with a VIN of 1FATP8JZ1Gxxxxxx.

Hey guys,

Are you guys noticing significant tramlining? My R darts around like a rabbit running for its life. There's an interesting thread on 6G about it and curious if anyone has tried this Steeda brace. It sounds like the combination of wider and stickier tires makes this problem worse on the R.
