And yes, GT350 production has temporarily stopped from Nov thru March...
That's a hot video!

Hasn't GT350 production halted every year during the winter months? I know the GT350R was halted last winter 15/16.

Also that Jalopnik headline is pretty funny - the internet might hate the Mustang but the internet LOVES the GT350. I can't remember a car in recent production winning more automotive awards than this car - nothing like it in production.

Default Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all...

Yesterday I received to boxes:
+ Box 1 was a very cool package from Ford for the purchase of my GT350R which included posters, signs, desk-top crank shaft and driving school information.
+ Box 2 was a very nice package from Porsche for the purchase of my wife's Cayenne GTS which included shameless advertising, worthless stuff, and a Chinese "Cayenne" pen that does not work.

Cayenne MSRP: $117,115, GT350R MSRP: $64,845

The GT350 owners kit is really cool. But most versions I've seen have "GT350" and the "Chassis number" on the display stand. Yours is the first one I've seen that says "Ford Performance" instead. Must be a recent change.

EDIT: I guess that must be the back of your stand.
I've had mine on display with the front for so long, I've never noticed that the back says "Ford Performance".

The Flat Plane Crank box set is a nice touch, the free racing school and 6 months Team Shelby membership is a real nice gesture too.

I'd imagine Porsche makes the GT buying experience special or is that more dealer specific?

My last new "GT" car was 2008GT2 and prior to that was 2003GT2 and I don't recall getting anything other than marketing BS.
I will find out with the new 991.2 GT3/RS/2RS MT?

Ford does give a nice owners kit with some of it's specialty cars.

Similar owners kit with the Boss 302LS. Nice box with Key Chain with LS# of car on it, nice coffee table book on the history of the Boss 302 and development of the '12 Boss, Certificate, Boss 302 car cover. Not sure if Boss owners kit was given with the standard Boss though.

Yup the Boss 302 and GT350 have very similar packages - loved the Boss 302 Laguna box set - and as I understand it all original owners of both Boss 302 and LS examples were sent the package with racing school.

All Shelby, Boss, Focus/Fiesta ST/RS ow ers get a free day at their racing school in Utah, which I find pretty awesome.

Agreed! Free racing school lessons, track time and providing you the chance to thrash their cars, not yours. Awesome is an understatement!

A pic from my session at the GT350 Track Attack this past October.

Can't remember if Porsche ever did this? I thought they did at one time.

I was car #13 at the Porsche Performance Center in Atlanta when I took GT4 delivery.
They provided a very nice meal for two and 90 minutes of professional instruction in their GT4!
