And the true story is, the owner changed his own oil and did not tighten the filter to spec. These cars pull over 100 psi of oil pressure and the filters need to be tightened to the specs, which are on the oil filter, with a torque wrench.
I saw this car at the dealer I just purchased mine from.

My R went down production line on Monday 8/29/'16. Not sure when it will land at the dealer, maybe in 3 weeks.

What kind of oil filter does this engine have? Canister or spin on? And the assumption is that torquing the oil filter correctly gets that "little" rubber seal tight enough?

(I think Rock Auto sells them for a lot cheaper)
Wouldn't hurt to buy a few - most dealers do not stock them.

Yup that's a good deal... and then just factor in if applicable sales tax and shipping costs.
Here's the window sticker for that 350: http://windowsticker.forddirect.com/...6P8JZ8G5521617

I will guess -$3000 for not being original owner & -$4-5K for not being in a major market area and the quick fleabay flip. I'd like to know how someone could drive that ONLY 60 miles though, Granny got lucky on the penny slots

My local Ford guy just called and wanted to know if I want a '17 R allocation. He said "insert name of giant Ford dealer in LA" has been blowing up his phone, offering to buy all 3 of his R allocations for 30k over. Why don't consumers in LA shop around? Do they know it's possible to ship a car?
Anyway, he also said '17 was the end of the run. I thought it was a 5 yr run? He said the 500 is coming in 18 or 19 so I started googling and found this...

Hmm, wonder if they're putting twin turbos on the voo-doo...

It certainly appears so, that exhaust note is identical to the 350R. My question is do they keep the 350R suspension? Anyone got a scoop?

That's expected 3 year run (really 2 if you look at the numbers) Word is the 5.0 from the GT will get the twin turbos. Rumor though.
Clear morning here, I took the GT350 out to a nice road along the beach with a smooth bridge, nobody but me on the road - I gave it some gas and started shifting at 8,250 rpm - brutal cracking sound echoing around, ballistic machine.

Car & Driver Lighting Lap issue just came out. G350R did a 2:51 and change at VIR. 2015 Z28 still bested it. Impressive time none the less.
Oh, and the 2015 GT3 bestest the R also. Vindicated.

Different days (years) different pavement, different drivers, LL is a joke with no constants.

It's not perfect but it gives us an idea of performance ability and how it's progressed over the years.
