What are your thoughts about the upgrade package Porsche just announced for the GT4 CJ? All that C/F can't hurt!

But hey without rules it would be too insane so we just have to adjust right?
I love PFC brakes. IIRC the GT4 street car runs the same 15" rotors F&R (with massive optional 16" CCB) while the GT350 street car has 15.5"/14.9" rotors.

In IMSA, running the same size brakes and tires always favors the lighter car (Cayman by ~500lbs). I agree and think GS needs to run 19" wheels.

You don't watch the races do you? The 997 hasn't raced most of the year.

Yeah sucks that there's no 911...how lame is that!? Hopefully IMSA sorts that out...GS with no 911 is sacrilege.

I spend more time driving on the track than watching.

I do watch at times but not alot. According to the IMSA it has the 997 in GS. Anyway the GT350 is not in GTD or GTLE.

The 911 teams are protesting some rules issues...so while they may be legal they aren't running

Agreed - but the GT350R-C Multimatic team was handing them their *** in 2015 anyway

I'm about to take my GT350 out for a victory lap in celebration

We ran the 997 last year a few times. The budget to make that old *** car go fast was preposterous

Oakridge Ford in London Ontario Canada has a 2017 GT350 R in stock today which is available for around $110,000 Canadian. Sitting on their lot when I drove by tonight. It is listed on AutoTrader along with over 72 2016 and 2017 regular GT350s.

Bummer... to both teams including CJ's. Was the damage extreme that the GT4CS can't be salvaged?

http://blackflag.jalopnik.com/mercil...use-1784943530

"Trent Hindman in the No. 12 Bodymotion Racing Porsche Cayman GT4 was in the process of going around the outside Paul Holton’s No. 76 C360R Ford Shelby Mustang GT350R-C to take second place just before Canada Corner. The two cars then made contact as Hindman tried to cut back onto the track, sending the Mustang into the No. 35 C.J. Wilson Porsche Cayman GT4 of Til Bechtolsheimer.

Both cars whacked the wall, putting Holton on his side and turtling Bechtolsheimer’s Cayman. It’s a cruel, cruel world when a Cayman gets knocked out just for being in the wrong place, at the wrong time. "

At $110k I'm buying an ACR or Z06. No brainer.

There is not that much difference between the R and tp to justify that difference. Put wider wheels and tires a your just about there. Boom. Done.

Except for the aero (larger splitter and wing) and suspension tuning.

I agree it's not worth some of the ADMs out there but for MSRP it's a heck of a deal.
