Exterior looks decent.
Interior, no thank you.
hard telling what they all were, but my guess is that nearly all of it is standard equipment. Looks like HVAC, seat adjustment, etc.
maybe it's different actually sitting in it, but it looks awkward to use when driving.

Holy cow. I don't care for the interior but everything else boggles the mind. Wow.
I'll have one in a few years.

I think the secret with this car is to look at the Z51 - as that is the car that comes with the improved brakes, cooling, suspension, tires etc. I notice they didn't mention a ring time even tho there was a lot of testing there. Still, and on the surface, great effort and in Z51 form I'm sure it will deliver.

I'm in total agreement, but let's face it . . . those of us on this board have the income or the wealth to make a 911 purchase decision. Those who are or need to be more frugal, will find the C8 to be a wise alternative (as they always have). All in all, I doubt the car will get many converts from P-car alum.

... no comment on the interior? What looks like an iPad stuck on the dash and the row of infinite buttons.

A good post. I share the general sentiment. Canadian pricing must ...
I have a Spyder order at MSRP that’s reasonable (equivalent to $84k USD before options, $95k USD after options and dealer fees). I don’t know what Canadian Corvette pricing will be, but let’s say it’ll be equivalent to $70k USD after some reasonable options are added.
In the US a 718 Spyder starts at $96.3k and the C8 will - reportedly - start at $55.6k. If you add $10k in options, which will probably get you everything including a carbon fiber kitchen sink on the C8 and gets you 1/3 of the options you’d like to have on the 718, you're at $106k for the Spyder and $66k for the C8.

I saw estimates of 3300 lbs and starting at just $60k. That’s what, half the price of a well appointed base Carrera these days? If it can handle track work without burning to the ground that’s an incredibly modest price for the performance.
I don’t know about using it as a street car but at this point it sounds like a great race car donor.

I thought the same. I was able to play with Chebbies ‘visualizer’ in the wee hours this morning. It looks much better with body-colored exterior bits rather than the black-contrasted bits.
What GM has done looks almost magical. Looking forward to the reviews.
I think GM may need more than a model year to iron out kinks.
In the end though, I’m looking for a 3-pedal car before they’re gone.

not fair to compare c8 to gt4 based on price. gt4 is twice the price. compare c8 to base cayman and Porsche might as well stop production today. the 4 cyl cannot compare regardless of the weight difference. yes, cayman can have a stick but that's about all it has going for it. they better turn it into an all electric car fast for any hope. c8 has 911 performance and cayman price. winner. and same goes for r8, nsx, 570, even gtr are all in trouble

Here's a good spec review from Road & Track: https://www.roadandtrack.com/new-car...-photos-specs/
The C8's curb weight is 3366 lbs. By comparison the curb weight of a 992 is 3340 with a MT, which means that it will exceed the C8's curb weight when equipped with PDK as probably 80% will.

I was leery before, but I'm genuinely impressed with it at this point.
The only thing I question is the silly wall between the passengers. Seems unnecessary and just plain odd.
